It depends on where you live.
If you live in North or South America, definitely go to Mexico. It's beautiful, and the Mexicans are wonderful, kind people. The buildings and museums of Mayan and Aztec cultures are amazing.
If you live in Europe, it's probably cheaper to go to Spain, which is also a wonderful choice.
I personally love Mexico and would go there again in a heartbeat.
