If I were God, and gave my children thousands of years to repent, and mind, and I forgave millions of transgressions, from them, their children and their children's children, I'd probably do anything at that point, because if I were God, I would live forever and it has got to stop somewhere. Their bloodline would continue to infinity if there were no end. Being the alpha and omega, I would have more of reason to say, "I brought you into this world, and I can take you out"! We say this to our children now, and we still love them enough to take it without end. But deep down, we all know that it must stop somewhere.
And yes, He is all forgiving. Look at how many centuries He's taken such abuse from His children already.

This is very difficult question to answer because I have been that child thrown into that fire just left to burn because I did something that was thought was wrong, but, instead I just was living my life. I was just going to relieve myself in the bathroom and then I was thrown into the fire for just going to bathroom and left to burn up in the fires of hell, that were not of my own creation. Since this was of man's own free will to throw his own living flesh and blood into the fires of hell. Is it really God's responsiblity to punish man for all of his sins and then leave man to dig himself out of the fires of hell. Even in the Old Testament, God sent the rainbow after the floods of Noah' time to show and tell man that he will not flood the world like that as long he was God. But, when someone tried to sacrifice his only son as God had told him to, God then sent an animal sacrifice to the man, because he knew that the man was going to sacrifice his only son, because he had faith in God and he would obey God to all ends of the earth too.

God does not throw children into hell, they are free of judgment until the age of accountability, in other words, a teenager. The age when they have no excuse for doing stupid things and not repenting for them.

God won't do that to His children because they love Him and obey Him as a result. He will do that to any of His creation that refuses to accept His offer to adopt them.

Being God's creation doesn't make you His child. Faith in Jesus, God's Unique Son does.

No its not odd,hes told you before hand.He forgives if you want and ask. Most people dont want him to.There are consiquences to our choices just like children and parents.Boo hoo do what you know your supose to and you wont have to worrie about it will you!
Your like one of those kids whos parents tell you not to steal or youll go to jail, but you did any way and got cought put in jail and crys and acts like every one is so unfair to you and everyone is against you and dont like you so you ask to get out free.So you go and steal again.

I think this is a criticism of the "Ten Commandments". The Parents clause to be specific.

In Christian belief, Jesus told his Disciples that the ten commandments were written to show the imperfections of man, and that in the condition man is in now, man needs rules or else man will engulf and destroy itself.

1 John 3:10
This is how we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are: Anyone who does not do what is right is not a child of God; nor is anyone who does not love his brother.

If I had all the answers like god did I might. But myself only if my children were popcorn, ear of corn wrapped in foil, ...something that good would come out of it. But then hey I'm not even a goddess so what do I know, right? :-) Have a good one.

Your question assumes that we all belive we are the judeo-christian god's children. Can't people in here remember that not everyone believes in the same god and not everyone is of the same religion? If we go with the god you're referring to, the key is that this particular god gave "his children" free will. 'Nuff said.
