I accept Jesus as my saviour, I believe greatly in God and the holy spirit, but when it comes to things that are important to me, i believe I am doing the right thing, being guided, but it always ends up with me coming off worse and looking like an idiot. How can I get it right?

Turn your whole life over to God, and Have faith in the good lord. I promise you that things will look better for you. God has a plan for all of us, and sometimes we must face trials and tribulations in order for us to see the direction god has been pointing us to... Don't give up in the lord, he hears your every thought... Talk to God more often, he doesn't mind, he enjoys the one on one. Good luck.

There was a time when it seemed nothing I set my hand to worked. I also knew Jesus as savior, I was studying the bible, and I wasn't purposefully trying to make poor choices, but things just weren't going well. I remember being discouraged and actually crying about it! I said to the Lord, it doesn't seem like I can get anything right! And He said to me "but the one thing you do have right....is the only thing that will last".

There was a saying I heard once; if you are doing the right things and the wrong things are happening, keep doing the right things and the right things will happen. This is moreso when you are being a doer of the Word and not a hearer only. Seek first HIS kingdom and His righteousness.....and He will add all things to you; He will order your life.

Because accepting the Lord Jesus christ does not save you,it does not purge your mind from dead works, read john 3:5 or Acts 2:38 they only way to get rid of that feeling is to Repent and be baptized in water and receive the Gift of the holy ghost

Keep trusting in God.Satan doesn't like to see anyone live for God. Many people say that after being saved , they feel they are being attacked from all sides. Truth is, they are, satan didn't need to attack you before , as you weren't with God. This is a very real battle but, we know who the winner is. Stand firm. Count it a blessing that this demon would consider you such a threat , that he is trying to trip you up.

r u baptised ?? because For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.
and if Jesus lives in u it becomes easier for u to overcome temptaions... well u will sin because there is no man that can totally keep away from sin...and take baby steps ..that is one step at a time...and dont be involved in bad friendship

Try harder! The fact that you accept Jesus as your savior doesn't mean that everything you do will be right and that you'll always walk thru the right path. He does guide you to it, but it's you the one that's walking thru it, not Him. You can't expect God to make everything be great for you cuz it doesn't work that way, it simply doesn't. Life would be so easy that way wouldn't it?

Life is about learning, we make mistakes and we learn from them so as not to make the same mistakes over and over again. When you are young making decisions can seem difficult because you do not have a lot of life experience. As you get older you get wiser and you make better decisions. Take responsibily for your own decisions and don't expect God to help you make them, that is not how God works.

Keep pressing on, Jesus never promised it would be easy but He promised to be with you! Trust in the word of God and the promises He made to you.

A lot of times when the Lord leads it does look stupid because Gods ways are not mans ways lean not to your own understanding, but in all your ways acknowledge him and he will direct your paths.

It is not important that we get it right or are successful. He calls us to be faithful not successful. But with this thought fullness will come in the areas that God wants and with that an overwhelming joy!
