Um, 118-120 is underweight for a female who is 5'9". The healthy weight is 133-162 (the higher weight is for females with a large frame). I would recommend staying at the weight you are, but instead of focusing on losing the numbers on the scale, try losing body fat instead. You are probably what most people call "skinny fat" where you're at a healthy weight, but you still have a higher body fat percent than you need. Try a higher protein diet that is high in fiber and low in saturated fat, eating something every 2-3 hours, and never drop lower than 1200 calories. Incorporate weight training 3-4 times a week (for you I would start at high reps, low weight, 12-15 reps per set) and cardio 3-4 times a week for about 30 minutes. I know the modeling agency or whoever it is that you are going to be modeling for probably wants you at that weight, but they don't realize that is not healthy. Good luck!

Wow, are you sure you want to loose that much? I am 5'7" and weigh 143. I wear a size 6!
I have however had excellent success with the Adkins Diet. It takes the weight of quickly. Cut out carbs, keep them to 20 a day, eat plenty of protein, salads, and don't avoid fats. Your body actually burns fat while trying to digest it. Of course you need to keep the carbs very low to do this, but it truly works. The energy you get is incredible. The most important thing you need to remember though is to drink plenty of water, and take your vitamins. Without the water, your body will hang onto the fat.
Good luck, and good health.

Hire a personal trainer/fitness professional, get into a fat loss program designed by a professional..if they offer nutritional services take them up on that and get a customized meal plan. If the PT doesn't offer nutrition ..get to a nutritionist or sports nutritionist. They will help you.

Try a balanced 1000 calorie a day diet. Cut out or limit the oils, fat and sugar in your diet. Exercise at least 30 minutes a day. You should be able to lose at least 2 pounds per week if you stick to it. You should also take a supplement vitamin everyday while dieting.
