amy c, you know about 1\2 - 3\4 of these answers are showing exactly what the problem is with these blind as a bat people. if you put them in any type of position that even remotey can call into question their belief, they just out and out refuse to let any independent thought into their heads. sad and amazing in my opinion. good thought , for some anyway, question.

I would do nothing, I might feel a little embarassed, I might even drink a couple of more pints than usual, but I don't think it will have a major impact because not everything I believed would have been a lie, the grass is still green etc The greatest hoax of all time, it's an interesting story for the grandkids. Apparently it's the most documented thing in the whole history of Mankind. However what would you do if you found out you were asleep for the last 3 years and Yahoo answers was a figment of your imagination?

I think it would have a great impact. I would feel I wasted a lot of time studying the bible, etc. But I really wouldn't feel I lost much in the way I live my life. How can following the ten commandments ever be really wrong? Most of the things the bible teaches make for a good society. I don't think right now that the impact would be that great.

I also don't think everyone would accept that if it were "proven." There would be arguments from now until forever.

Great question.

Excellent question! I KNOW He lived. I KNOW He hears me when I pray. It is inconceivable to think that He never was, because of the way He has changed my life, for the better. There was a time I doubted His exsistence, but there came a time where there was no doubt at all left in my mind. I really feel His presence in my heart, and in my life. I wish I could answer your question exactly, but as I say, it is inconceivable to doubt that He ever was. Sorry.

(warning: long answer)

you mean like in da vinci code? If you could prove that its all fake then I guess life would really suck. We're just going to live for maybe 80 years and then die as if we never existed. There would be no real reason to live and everything mankind accomplishes would eventually all vanish once the sun dies out.

Although I know you're not asking about this. But heres some "Not undeniable proof", but definitely thought provoking facts:

Ok lets say darwinism is correct and we were all created from the big bang. On a microevolutionary scale such as birds with long beaks surviving in a forest where short beaks can't reach for food (natural selection) that makes sense. But on macroevolutionary scale, it starts to face problems.
#1. Cant create life from non-life (basically what big bang is all about)
- Scientists have tried to create life from non-life (not like frankenstein at all) by mixing the matters of life, ammonia, nitrogen, hydrogen, and water vapor and methane. It failed
- They then tried again using matter and energy this time. It failed, but, they created a mixture of right and left handed amino acids. Which doesnt "not" work. Lets assume they made only left-handed amino acids neccesary for life. Proteins must still be organized. The chances of them correctly doing that is 10 to the 67 power to 1. Which is basically a 0% chance.
- dna code required: human dna itself contains enough info. to fill 1,000 books each with 500 pages of very small closely printed type. Even the simplest bacterium DNA is extremely complex.
Review: Chance of life forming on its own (big bang) 10 to the 40,000 power to 1.

Many Evolutionists now search for the theoretical force within matter that might make it organize itself.
Problem: Second law of thermodnynamics says everything tends toward chaos.
hmm...maybe something more powerful: possibly a God?

Then theres evolution. According to Darwinism, every living thing came from one parent. So therefore there must be mutations shown on the timeline, for example whales that came from land mammals.

Theoretical Whale Hybrids Line: Mesonychid > Ambulocetus > Rodhocetus > Basilsaurus > Modern whale. "We do not possess a single fossil of the transitional forms between the aforementioned land animals and the whales." - E.J. Sniper (look him up if you like.)

Then theres The Cambrian Explosion: basic animal groups all appeared suddenly and without evidence of evolutionary ancestors.

"Why in subsequent periods of great evolutionary activity when countless species, genera, and families arose, have there been no new animal body plans produced, no new phyla?" - Lewin

Last Problem: From simple to complex

"If it could be demonstrated that any complex organ existed, which could not possibly have been formed by numerous, successive, slight modifications, my theory would absolutely break down. But I can find no such case."

Irreducible Complexity in Nature:
- Bacterial Flagellum, Cillium, and the Blood Clotting Process.

So why do so many still believe in Darwin's Macroevolution?

"It is not that the methods and institutions of science somehow compel us to accept a material explanation of the phenomenal world...that materialism is absolute, for we cannot allow a Divine foot in the door. The eminent Kant scholar Lewis Beck used to say that anyone who could believe in God could believe in anything. To appeal to an omnipotent deity is to allow that any moment the regularities of nature may be ruptured, that miracles may happen." - Richard Lewontin, Harvard geneticist

paraphrase: Scientists refuse to allow the possibility of God no matter how much proof there is.

I have my doubts about christianity and I ask lots of questions, but I do believe it and I'm glad I do because the other option of living in a world where there are no miracles and the hopelessness of knowing that eventually you'll die and everything you worked so hard for will be gone is just not worth it.

p.s. - I shortened everything alot because its long enough as it is. If you're intrested in more info. Check out some of the books on the source list.

If you have more questions you can try: LeaderU.com, and I guess ChristianAnswers.net

However, I generally don't trust websites as much as books since anyone can create a site.

I would still abide by Biblical principals because they provide the best, satisying life one could ever life. However, there is plenty of evidence, outsideof the bible that Jesus existed. Josephus, Jewish historian, speaks of his life, death, and resurrection. Even the Jewish Talmud (who deny His divinty), asserts that Yeshua was crucified during the Passover in Jerusalem. There are many other examples, especially from Roman historians, such as Lucius, Tacitus, etc.

Well it would definately destroy everything I have ever believed. But their is one thing I do know for sure. I used to worry about everthing, my gut would always be in knots. But, when I started believing that God would provide for me and I quit worrying so much and their is not a day goes by he does,t make me believe he does not exist. he does exist. Even if it's only in my mind that he does at least I have something to believe in. I think if everyone did not believe in some higher power the world would be worse than it already is. So even he he is not real the fact that I believe in him helps me to make better decision about my life, to be kinder, to help people, to love people, and to forgive people.

Jesus lived and lives still and made a huge impact on the world. That is why false Gods are having such a tough time getting attention.

Obviously proof of existence has no bearing on what people believe in religiously -- that's the very definition of faith. If you have faith in something, you believe it without needing evidence. Nobody can ever possibly provide proof that the judeo-christian god exists (or doesn't exist), yet look at the millions of people who believe it.
