Ignorance or not knowing isn't a good excuse if the police pull you over. It would be a good idea to find out what the speed limit is. If you are on the highway, 55 is acceptable, in town I wouldn't go over 35 until I found out for sure.

Depends on the type of area your driving in. If its a built up road then it will be either 20 or 30. If the road doesn't have houses but has streetlights then it will be 30 or 40. All main roads are 60. Dual carriageways and motorways are 70. Juat drive at the speed you think is best depending on the area.

There are set limits for the type of road, but they vary by area. For example, in my town, the speed limit on residential streets is 30 mph, even though it's not posted. Contact your local police department or dept. of motor vehicles (where you go to get driver's license) and they should be able to tell you the general guidelines.

It depends on what kind of road it is. If it's residential, probably 25, maybe 30. If it's an open country road, probably 40-50. Generally, you can judge by the speed of other cars around you.

Go as fast as possible until you feel that you are about to lose control or barely avoid danger. Then do a tokyo drift!

Jk..

Actually then just back off 10 mph, and that's your safe speed limit.

Depends what car you have.

Aston Martin - as fast as you like.
Vauxhall - not too fast, they don't like it.
Holden Monaro - quite slowly unless it's a dead straight road.
Rover - as fast as the car will go. So about 53mph.
Merc - as fast as the insane SatNav woman will allow you to.
Citroen 2CV - don't go anywhere, your car has the same aerodynamics and design as a deckchair. You are technically driving a Flying Deckchair.
