I.E:
1. Do no harm to others or yourself.
2. Let others be at peace in their lives.
3. Respect others views and their lives.

I know that is very simplified, it was of the top of my head. But if you had the three rules that governed everything, would we need religion to teach us right from wrong? Especialy as religion seems to create more hatred than it eliminates. Have a secular world?

And what would be your three rules?

A reply to worshipful H.
Every single atom of my being has been around for billions of years and has been since the cosmos began. Yours to for that matter. The church which you so badly need to support yourself with, has only been around for under two thousand years I do not need, desire or want anyone to follow me as you seem to complain. Unlike you who has all the need to follow someone or something to uphold your life.

Since I am asking do we need god or religion. I would hardly put myself forward as a candidate to replace it and him/her now would I? You say I can't just cut god out of the picture Tell me where is god? Is he there the moment a school child unloads a automatic pistol into his class mates? Is he there when a child dies through malnutrition and lack of clean water and lack of drugs? did he make an apperence during the genocide of wwII. But if you were to say god is upper middle class and white, you know I would believe you!

I think that the standards that God, in His infinite wisdom, put in place are sufficient- I would rather not follow after one who was trying to put it together with their three pounds of rotting worm food.
You can't just cut God out of the picture because you think you have it all figured out- where were you when the foundations of the world were laid? where were you when the stars were placed in the heavens?
God does not cease to exist just because you choose to be your own god.

the reality that we live and respiration and waiting to do various those issues. the reality that we at the instant are not rocks and a few divine twist of fate made use who we are instead of a few inorganic atom. the reality we are able to grant issues rather worth. we are able to categorise. Its all attractive, the sight, the sound, the feel, the emotion, the style. Even discomfort. we are able to sense that not many different issues can. discomfort could be painful, yet we are able to sense it only as we are able to sense satisfied. Its surprising rather that out of all of this we are able to do those issues. regardless of the reality that it sort of feels to suck each and every each and every now and then its nonetheless remarkable. random actuality: in case you shoot a rabbit, it doesnt be responsive to why it feels discomfort, it would not sign up that there is an evidence, it only knows it feels discomfort and as a reaction will run away, notwithstanding if its death. Shoot a human (notwithstanding in the event that they did not be responsive to what a gun grew to become into) it would recognize its some thing released, have some sort or wisdom of what to do etc. I dont think of this grew to become into appropriate yet its written now... yet while youre finding for one reason it would surely be pie.

I like the idea, but most people aren't into religion because they need something to tell them what's right and wrong, that's common sense. Most have faith for deeper reasons.
