Oh sure......you'll get your muffins, but if I were you, I wouldn't take off those Ruby Red Slippers while eating them. They just might be the death of you yet. ;)

The opium and heroin harvest has reached a new high. It is injecting new money into the country. This has to needle the Bush adminstration. In a lighter vein, you may soon be up to your keister in muffins. It is ironic that before 911 the Taliban had almost eradicated the poppy harvest because it went against their Islamic beliefs. Now, the Taliban is largely behing the growing of poppies and the money they make from it fuels their terrorist activities. They can buy all the weapons they want now. This is progress that only George W. Bush can appreciate.

"One significant prosecution involved an Interior Ministry official, Lt. Col. Nadir Khan, who was given a 10-year prison sentence two months ago for stealing 50 kilograms of heroin that had been impounded by drug enforcement unit and selling it, a Western counternarcotics official said, speaking on condition of anonymity."

The above quote is from that article.
It is a real problem. Opium and Heroin are pretty bad drugs and that region is is making a lot of money and hurting a lot of people.

It's a level of corruption that runs through their government that I can't compare to any other nation.
