I breast fed for a whole year with breast implants and didn't have any problems. I was told that if you get implants under your breast muscle chances are excellent that you can breast feed. Mine are under the muscle with a nipple incision and it went perfectly well. Keep in mind that some women can't breast feed even when they don't have implants (for various reasons), so chances are good that you probably can. As long as the implants are are under the muscle. Also, although mine is a nipple incision and it went fine, if you use your belly button or your armpit for the incision, chances are even greater that you won't hve any problems. Good Luck. Breastfeeding hurts tons at first!

Sure, but it is different for each woman. There are many different types of implants and insertion options to choose from and some may pose more of a problem than others. Pam Anderson breastfed her children-plus, there are many women who don't have implants that experience difficulty breastfeeding.

Breast Feeding BAS - Women of childbearing age should know that they may not be able to breast feed after breast implantation. Some women who undergo breast augmentation can successfully breast feed and some cannot. Women who undergo a mastectomy will be unable to breast feed on the affected side due to loss of breast tissue and glands that produce milk.
