Something doesn't seem right to me. I know there are substantial number of people who are addicted to porn and get their life ruined by it. They have told me porn addiction is as bad as drug or alcohol addiction if not worse.
Yet, I don't see any PR messages on tv, radio or newspaper educating about dangers of porn and its addictive side. Why?
How do you expect people to stay away from it unless they know its harmful side? Does the federal government consider porn addiction dangerous at all?

The reason we don't see pornography discussed on television is because there may be kids watching who don't know that such a thing exists.
If we can guarantee an adult audience, I think that an anti-porn group would be totally justified in putting a commercial on the air warning men (I assume women are immune) of the danger signs of porn addiction.
Just because it is a major source of concern to my spouse these days, I'll add that people with addictive personalities can get addicted to things such as Yahoo! Answers...

If you want to get real here, sex (of all kinds) is probubly one of the most intoxicating, potentially, naturally addicting experience a human or animal can endure.
Yes, there are people who go beyond "normal" amounts of sexual acitivity but there is apparent evidence that suggests that this is a kind of mental syndrom like obsessive compulsive or is in fact that short coming but with sex as the medium so to speak. Sex or porn is not the real problem.
Pornography, as is said "is in the groin of the beholder". What is sexy to one could be said to be porn to another. Being a porn actor could be said to demean any given sexual orientation, or it could simply be a reinforcement of that sexual orientation.
In any event, what destroys peoples lives or ruins it for them is not the porn but the way the process how they experience it. In my humble opinion, it is not the porn itself, it is the unbalanced, ill or defective thinking of the mind that is evident in the destructive aspects of what many call porn.
Human sexuality is as vast as the sea and profoundly as deep as the sea and as high as the highest mountain.
Humanit has dwelled on all the basics of eating, drinking, sleeping and having sex since early man began the thinking process. Pictographs were scratched into walls, then they were later called graffiti, then dirty paintings, now we have any number of more easily reproduced media to feed our ever hungry human, fetishistic minds.
It is not only porn, but food, drugs, drink, relationship, power, money and others things that can be dangers to humanity if they are not seen for the purpose for which they best serve us all and are used to excess or the abuse that ruins lives.
It is good to bring the issue up but not smart to run a witch hunt about it
in my humble opinion.
I rather enjoy what others would censor and call porn but it doesn't run my life to the point of distraction or ruin. I am happy it is there when done to what I consider good taste.
Kinda like a fine wine. You can drink rot gut to excess, drink and ruin your liver or you can pick selectively what shivers your timbers. Porn is successful for all these reasons and more.
I doubt is will ever go away.

I recommend that youdo lock your door and probably shove a towel or some fabric to dam the mild from beneith your door. As for sound, purchase a headset so as that the sound is going into the ear extremely of the entire room. You dont actually need the sounds of a woman groaning filling the entire room now do you? Be cautios, in case you hear any sounds, then immediatly turn off your browser. happy jacking.

Maybe not ,but Ted Bundy's said it was his downfall.Child porn,rape porn. movies,animals and humans.Is this normal ,just a few examples.Maybe it's form of abuse ,that needs to stop.
