I have an Automate 476A. Didn't know what this button did for me, since I've pressed it few times and didn't see any change. It was a third party installation when I bought the car used. Any help will be appreciated.

Valet button will lock the trunk from the inside and outside - so the pimply faced Valet parking kids can't steal your junk in there.

I believe the AUX can be configured to pop the trunk - but may not do anything right now.

the aux button is used for an extra feature like trunk release, or window control. if nothing is installed it will do nothing. you may also try holding it for a few seconds to see if it does anything, instead of just pressing and relasing it.

the valet button will put the alarm into valet mode, so it cannot be armed or disarmed, but will work as a keyless entry. that way the valet, or mechanic doesn't have the alarm arming on them and causing problems. unless the alarm arms itself, there is no real function of the valet button.

The AUX button is used to drive relay, driven by the "Brain" of the alarm unit. Or if the "Brain" has relays in it, it will send power to anything in the car. E.G. trunk pop/automatic windows/stereo etc... A relay can operate any motor driven actuator or 12V electric device.
