A one ounce shot of espresso contains approximately the same amount of caffiene as a 8-10 ounce cup of drip coffee. The nutritional make-up of the two drinks is virtually the same. (This is of course assuming that you do not add cream, sugar, flavored syrups, whipped cream, "frappuccino mix" or any other such nonsense to either.)

I've heard a serving of espresso actually has a lower caffeine content than a cup of regular coffee. Of course, that's not ounce-for-ounce.

The caffine content. A regular cup of coffee will give you a lift. Drink a cup of espresso and you can thread a sewing machine while it is running.
