yesterday i had a wonderful wonderful time with a guy that i had met less than a week ago. i think im starting to like him. he's very gentlemanly and cute, but i dont know if he likes me or is just like that to everyone. he called me cute a number of times even in front of my friend so i felt a bit flattered. when i asked him if he had any pets he said he didnt, so i said he should get a fish at least. his response "lets go buy a fish together and name it!" we were goign to buy a fish but ran out of time/forgot. i dont want to like a guy who flirts with alot of people and i heard that he is one but very nice. he seemed geninely very very kind so it made me question the flirting thing i heard and assumed, so idk if i should detach myself from liking him or whanot. we both really look forward to hanging out with each other again and are planning to soon but i dont want to like him and scare him away and ruin our new friendship if i slip up. what do you think i should do?

There's no rush. You can take time, hang out together, find out the answers to your questions in a calm, unhurried, unpressured manner.
If you find sometime down the road that he's a good candidate for a permanent relationship, you can discuss that when the time comes.
And for the time being, you can like him and keep things platonic, so you don't end up rushing off into things that by nature lead to a permanent relationship, when you're not yet ready for that - and see what happens.

First you ought to find out if you're falling for him or if ur in love.
"Falling in love is loving the coincidences; loving is falling in love with the differences".
Maybe you're not totally confortable with his "flirting attitude", but how willing are u to get along with his attitude as well as him with your "no flirting posture".
Hang out with him for a while, have a good time, and, when you determine if this is just a crush or a special feeling (in this case called love) just be straight and honest with him.

He seems like a nice guy. Just give your relationship time to grow. From there you can assess whether or not he's worth it.
