What is the cost to park and ride and take the Metro from any of the outlying areas into DC? What are passes and parking costing, daily, weekly, monthly? Working a 9 - 5 job.

Thank you! I checked out their site. I was wondering about the price to park and ride, rather than just the metro tix.

Is parking downtown expensive? (more than $10/day?)

wmata.com has all the prices.

There are several metro passes to choose from. I buy a 7 day unlimited pass for $22, and I can travel anywhere in Maryland and Virgina how often I want. Sometimes I have to add 10 or 20 cents if I go really far in Virginia. So I'm only paying about 88 bucks a month, which is excellent for me. (I'm communting from DC to Virginia)

It just depends on where you're going and what you need it for. The Metro attendants are usually good about helping you decide.

I think my friend told me she pays $1 something to park each day. She doesn't know exactly because she has a metro pass, which her job pays for. (many jobs do).

Parking downtown sucks - it is easily $25 per day in a public lot ($15 if you get an earlybird special).

Parking at a metro station is like $4, I think. Haven't done it in about a year.
