What is the maximum amount you would spent on tea, whether in bag form or loose, does packaging matter to you, also does the health benefits matters?
Or you would just buy the cheapest because you thinh all the tea taste the same.
In reality you could be right because all tea comes from the CAMELLIA SINENSIS plant, why would people pay about £10 per 50 granms of a white tea called the SILVER NEEDLE?

Hello Ying, how's it going with you? I used to detest tea , the smell , the ceremony of heating the pot with boiling water , then so many (teaspoon)- fulls per head ,and one for the pot , letit stand for some moments , covering the pot with a tea cosy , and as you pour ,be certain to use a tea strainer to catch any bits of that particular tea-leaf.................I thought my family mad "lets sit down and have a nice cup of tea" ,or "you look as if you could do with a strong cuppa tea" etc.......................I couldn't be bothered with all that ,it wasn't coffee !!!!!!!!!which at that time I poured a (teaspoon full) into a cup added boiling water and thats it.................But now I,m older and looking out for my health , eating and drinking, drinking tea at least three cups a dayand I do feel the better for it;;like you say cardiovascular health is important to me now , and with the antioxidents it gives I do feel the difference. However being on the wrong side of 60 I still cannot stand the pomp or smell of regular tea I choose the flavoured variety , namely blackcurrant .....it's smashing I'm sure that if I'd tasted it years ago , I'd be a fully blown tea Jenny now.................(and healthier) .......................................cheers.

I use Tea bags if I'm making it in the cup, but loose tea if I'm making a pot. I love my Tea. I drink English Breakfast and Yorkshire tea.
To answer your additional details. I buy Good Stand up tea. It's not Harrods £50 a box but a good £5. Good tea is something you can taste,to buy fine tea is something someone who drinks under 10 cups a day maybe able to talk about!!!!

Here in Egypt we drink shi... Egyptian tea, it is made from loose tea but it is more like powder than leaves. You make it direct in a small glass, put in the amount you want and pour boiling water onto it, never add milk, but the Egyptian race have a sweet tooth and usually add at least 3 large teaspoons of sugar to a glass the size of a whisky glass, some people I know even have as many as 5 spoons of sugar. YUK. I drink it without any sugar at all.

I think the tea-bag is simply for convenience, and was only introduced in the last 10-20 years.

Tea bags are more convenient.
And just because the tea is in a bag than loose, doesnt automatically mean it is any less healthy.

Yeah, no doubt drinking tea is good for you, and even better when it's fresh and loose. I think mose people do not own a steeper. They are hard to find. I've only seen them in specialty stores.

Convenience, but as for mess, you can get contraptions like spice balls that mean you don't need a strainer and you won't have a huge mess in your sink.
