Your opinion is your opinion and I will not agree nor disagree, but give you my view. You put forth good analogies, but you forgot of the number "0" defined as a cypher. And when people don't believe in GOD, it is like the big argument with the thought of "0" being a number(before there was the number "0" and negative integers). How can something that does not exist have existance and hold substanance. So "0" can literlly be the one that can not be defined but exist in everything to which all stems. Even #1. To most people's belief it is jesus. Son of man. And the thought of how can a negative be a good thing is a whole other topic. But for basis of debate. Relatively speaking , working backwards can bring you back to the ancients. Then you gradually get to the number "0". Where people started to record time in stead of letting things be. For the christian science to it, this time is applied for time place of 0. No BC nor AD that represents the time of cypher. And now we are in 2006. So most believe that jesus is GOD will say he is the #1. The begginning of time. "So to speak"(recorded). Now that is the number issue that is always up for debate like any creation of the TRUE GOD.
The issue of GOD has been resolved throughout time if you would dare to accept different doctrines. For example, the people of the old testament made the same mistakes people make now. What makes babylon any different than america. There are even cities in america called babylon. But on the brighter side, there are also cities like new jeusalem, bethlahem, and medina. And I get where you mean "in which direction the face of GOD?'. Meaning you are that lamp and the light of GOD shines off of you. But once again, to another great debate. People always accepted temselves as the "Divine". or to better put it, the light of GOD is inside you. From a proverb of jesus saying the kingdom of GOD is inside of you. Removed from the original text but existant. In the quran there is an example of light upon light. I forgot how the text went exact, but was in the premise that the light of GOD was a niche. Inside of us. Defining light upon light upon light upon light upon light to as far as eternity can stretch. And that has no end so the cypher keeps going. That eternity has no beggining either for we are not that niche. We are simply one of the many lights. To what call the light of GOD. Even that lamp needs something to actually make it turn on. And that is the niche. Light upon light.
This is all but an opinion that belongs to my belief so the bottom line of the debate is "to each his own". I do not agree or disagree with you. But I also agree and disagree with you. Everybody has thier own views on who or what GOD is and existance in a whole where me, you, and everything exists. And why does it exist. GOD gave you will and with that HE also gives you the will to figure it out. Or submit to something else. Maybe it is really simple, but very complicated at the same time. I don't know, you don't know, nobody knows. But at the same point everybody knows. This debate can go on for millenias which it has. So the best I can do opersonally is focus on righteousness and my path granted. This coming from a hanif-muslim. PEACE!

I think the soul has a body more substantial than the bodies we have here. A man lives a man after he dies and a woman lives a woman after she dies.
By the way, God is said to be in the spiritual sun above the heavens.

I don"t seam to understand your question. What are you saying?? Are you asking is GOD real? If you are then yes he is and I hope you will come to know him. in which direction the face of God, what do you mean? God"s face is above, in heaven. look up, as many did in the bible, that's where God the Father is...

God isn't physical. Even if you dont believe in God your question still might be "when did time start" and noone can answer that. Don't try to connect the dots.

I don't agree that disregarding conventions of written language is a good idea. (Please pardon my habit of capitalizing and using punctuation; it's an old habit.)
