it depends on where you live. my mom just put her dog down and it cost her $60, then another 75 to have it creamated. I would call some local vets. If you are not interested in keeping the remains I have heared that some emergency vet places will combine your dog with others in creamation and that will cost less.

I'm sorry you have to do this, I know how hard it is. A lot of places will let you be with you dog when they do it. Sometimes that helps.

It depends on it weight, where you live,if you take the body or have it disposed of or taken for cremation. Here in Michigan euthanasia is about $40.00 plus another 40 if the mass cremate the body.Private cemetery burial also charges by weight,as does private cremation.German Shepherd size dog, anoud $200 or burial and #145.00 for cremationGood luck.

Did you ask tthe vet? It is not much, but call arounfd and ask what methods they use. Depending on where you live they do it differently. Try to stay away from the gas, this is not acceptable. I think your friend is suffering enough so don't let it suffer it's last breath. So very sorry, I wish you could find a way to save him. Vets will agree to a payment plan, even post dated checks. Again, so sorry for your heartbreak.

Depends on the size of the dog and the chosen method of 'disposal'. Many Humane Societies have programs that can help with vet care ect. Try your local shelters for help.

Surely if you need to have your dog put down, it's because the poor dog is unwell or suffering then price then shouldn't come into it

Vets in different parts of the country charge differently. It is based on the weight of the dog. So you will have to call vets in your area and ask.
I just helped out a neighbor of mine who did not have a vet. We called 2 different vets in our area. One wanted $36.00 and one wanted $25.00. This was on a 42 lb dog.
