November is about as good as it gets in Hawaii. Temperatures are usually warm, not hot. You might get a Kona storm (heavy rain, very rarely lightning), but it will probably still be sunny at some beach somewhere on the island. The mountains behind Honolulu should be turning lush and green from the increased rain that time of year.
Surf is beginning to go on the North shore, while south shores are like glass--good for swimming and snorkeling. And the humpback whales will be coming back to Hawaii to play, mate, and give birth to calves. I've seen humpback whales from the shore on Oahu, but your chances will be even better if you take a whale watching cruise. You might go to Kokua Market and pick up some Reed's Extra Strong Ginger Brew first if you tend to seasickness.
Actually, the whales prefer the channels between the islands in Maui County, but you did ask about Honolulu.

generally November - April is the rainy season although you might not get that much rain it all depends on the Pacific ocean that's where you get the storms.I have been there in December and you can get a heavy rain at night but by the morning the puddles are almost gone but it's better than snow and a lot warmer
