My daughter (6) will only wear her brothers pants
(7). It all started when we were on the beach & after a swim discovered I had'nt packed a change of clothes for her, but packed 2x pants for her brother (so i put her in them).
Since then she wants to wear boys pants! my sister says to buy them for her, but i'm worried she may get picked on (in school ect..)
please help..

There are a type of knickers called 'girl boxers' - they are sort of bigger like a tight, stretchy boxer short - they might be a good compromise. Otherwise try some knickers that are plain coloured and not too girly.

I can’t tell the difference in pants at that age, unless you see a boy wearing pink or a girl wearing skull and bone motifs or something. As for undies male underwear is more comfortable because the elastic is thicker and the material is less flimsy. She has simply not reached the magic age of willingly torturing herself with the array of clothes woman choose to wear, like high heels.

She is still young, and she will most likely outgrow it in the future as she gets older. I am an adult woman, and I hate wearing women's pants because theyre not as comfortable on me as mens jeans and khakis. No one can tell, they all look the same, and no one has ever made fun of me for wearing them. She does not need professional help, as other people have suggested. Who needs professional help for the clothes they choose to wear!!!!!! I hope whatever decision you make, that everyone is happy in the end!

I'd go to the shops with her and look for girls' boxers to see it they are of her liking. But if she doesn't, it's not a big deal. Look for boys' underwear that isn't that noticably boyish (perhaps white in colour rather than blue or black).

I know you can get girl's underwear in the shape and style of boys pants (i have a few pairs myself in the style of boxers) if she doesn't like them, look for a masculine pair of knickers, and if all else fails, let her wear her brother's but she'll notice at school that ohter girls dont wear the same.

She probably finds them more comfortable. Maybe you could find girls undies with the similar style as boys. If she does wear them to school and gets picked on, she'll probably stop pretty quick. I wouldn't worry too much.

Honey 6 year olds cant tell the difference, if there girl or boy pants, unless they have definate seems, that are obvious.... As far as the boys, underwear, my daughter sleeps in heart shaped boxers! But, she's 12, and as long as she's descreet about it, I dont mind..... You should worry however, should she, keep wanting to wear boys clothing as she gets older...... I'm a grown woman, and I buy mans jeans, for the mere fact there more comfortable, especially the button-fly,, I just love the snug, but I'm all girl, with my shirts, skirts, make-up, etc..... Just be careful she doesn't start wanting to be too much like "Big Brother"... My step-mom, was a (pschotic wicked-witch) a Latina, who treated us just horrible!! But, she dressed her youngest daughter in boys clothing all her childhood, and for birthdays bought her cars, and boy toys, etc.... Now, the poor girl is "Gay"....... My step-mom, went way over-board, to please my father......so he could have a "Pretend step-son" I guess..... Wierd, hoh?!! But, otherwise, its harmless, so long as you show her feminine things, like "Hair care" for girls, and dresses, and later make-up, and dolls, etc.. who is actually gonna see her undies at school? probably no one. So i think u should buy them for her, shes only 6, let her have the comfort in the undies she prefers. then when she's older she can make her own decision. most women start wearing thongs when they get to jr. high/ highschool anyway. so i don't think u have much to worry about.
