No it doesn't dear... in my opinion and the way i have seen it happening, searching never helped for the right one !
People who search for their mates are the ones that either are all alone and want it to happen as soon as possible, or envy their friends for having found one. This is baby stuff.
The true one will come along alone and when least expected but it will be right.
Rushing never helped anyone

I dont know if searching really gives you results but maybe praying/waiting does....
I know Im going to wait for the right one to come along. and in the right time he will be here if he hasn't already. One never knows.. but sometimes you get good results while searching and other times you don't.
All depends upon where you are searching!!
That's a big one. If your searching in bars and bad places you will only get a bad woman/man.
Church, Good woman/man all depends...
Just take a chance..... It's all about you..

it cannot be actually described as fetching a tru fruit, people r only doing this so that they can find someone they can talk to for sometime. in most of the cases it might actually turn to a good friendship

Right now I'm not searching for a boyfriend... I'm young, I have plenty of time. If a guy happens to come along, that's great, but I'm not going to search for one and look like I'm desperate when I'm not.

People search for the reasons known best to them, which depends on what they are expecting from their relationship (short-term/long-term/eternal/fake...etc)
If we search we might have a doubt whether we found the right one or not? But when we let it happen (or when it happens by itslef) then we'll not have such doubts which is very crucial for a relationship.

2.No need to search.Try to acquire qualities of a good girleriend/boyfriendfriend and You will find number of persons amoung from whom you can select one or more.
