Air India

In my opinion, Northwestern. There is less room between the seats in coach. I was really cramped, no leg room. We had a bad incident in Chicago. There was a hold up at the airport after we landed and we couldn't leave the plane for some reason. The pilot cut off the air conditioning. It got very hot and stuffy and one lady had a medical emergency as a result of it. They had to call the paramedics, and of course, no one could leave the plane. The pilot finally cut the air back on in the cabin, so it was more bearable.

Our son was on Northwestern, in either Detroit or Chicago and they had a lay over while changing planes. The staff at the air port had gone on strike and there was no one to help the passengers out. They were stranded at the airport for 12 hours or so.

I've flown over 55 airlines. Tie between Northwest or as it is known Northworst. They always have equipment problems, also I was on a flight to Hong Kong with a group of stundents who were drunk, ran an all over the aisles annoying passengers. When complaints were lodged with the flight attendants they did nothing And still served them drinks. I wrote a letter to NW, it took 2 months for them to respond & all they said was Sorry.

Air Canada is the other. Bring your own food. I flew from Montreal to Calgary & all they served were soft drinks, Flew from JFK to Ottawa & same thing no food just drinks.

American Airlines and Southwest are my 2 pics for worst airways. American because I have been bumped from flights even though I showed up 2 hours early and checked in and had the flight booked for weeks. Southwest because they are just dirty and their flight attendants are mouthy.

I don't like American too much. We flew for 4 hours to Philadelphia, and we only got a drink and no snack! A snack bag or bar would have been good. Plus, the flight was around dinner time, and when we came back, it was late at night and we got no food. Also, they don't fly to all the cities I need to, let alone any other american carrier with the oneWorld alliance.

If you're asking which is the worst airline, I'd have to say America West. They usually always run late and once they had to delay a flight so they could fine a pilot.

It will be interesting to see which airline comes up trumps in this. Air travel is so subjective, depending on each individuals experience, the crew on board, and indeed if they travel economy, business class or even a short or long distance. I don't think that there is one definitve answer on the subject.

experiences

---as the nose of the plane rises for take off water falls from the air
conditioning vents

---we even have to buy water in in flight by making payments
---there is no business class
---they come to sell water and sandwitches as on railway station
