Claims of increasing memory power are made by so many people nowadays. There are menicines which are available. There are methods being propagated by people who claim to be experts. However I feel that none of these actually work over a long period.
I think we all have more or less the same memory capacity. Where we differ is the ability to recall the memory easily and instantaneously. This depends on how our mind works. The way we have been tutored during our upbringing. We are taught to give priority and importance to certain things. We are told that this is good and that is bad. As a result of this conditioning that we go through right from the time that we are born our mind becomes selective and our memory becaomes selective. This selective memory is the result of our inability to recall from our memory anything and everything.
I think the solution to this is to become alert and aware of our mind and our thoughts as they come and go. Alertness and an understanding of your mind works, will sharpen your awareness and will result in the slowing down the constant chattering of your mind. Once your mind becomes relaxed and is not working overtime you will find both your ability to recall memory and to retain what you perceive will become stronger. It may sound difficult but I think this is the only and sure shot way to improve your memory.

Fruits, eat all natural food that can grow from the ground, tree, & best of all fish from the ocean. Exercise, plenty of sleep with more than 7 hrs. Play games thats is require to contrate and focus... ticking your minds. For example puzzles, chess, word games, and school stuff can help even if you are not in school anymore. Read books that is very difficult to read which is require to look up the dictionary... it mind sorness. That's because the funny brain is working hard and doing more sparks in the weak areas that is not used too very often. Get up and get those weakness working and you'll be smarter, sharp, and more awareness. So, what you want either be good to yourself or don't!

To help improve your memory.... do mind games like Sudoku. Play Chess. These silly things are common, but they all help to keep our brains active... and improve memory!!
Have you also looked into the 'brain training' game on the Nintendo DS?
I have this.... and its a good laugh, and does help to speed you brain power up!!!
Maybe buying books from people with great memory capacity may be worth looking into!!
All the best!!

There is an answer in the bible. Fear of the God is the begining of the wisdom. Unless God opens no one can increase memory power.

If it's your memory, try sudoku puzzles... try to work a few a day... they definitely have helped me with my memory.
If it's the computers memory.. what the other person said about adding more and cleaning out stuff from your computer.
