Christ said "no man comes to the father but by me." why do the catholics think Mary will save them, and the mormons think Joseph smith will save them?
they might have been good people, well one of them anyways, but they don't have saving power. Mary needed to put her faith in Christ the same as we do

She did.
Luke 1:47 And my spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior.

This is Mary talking. 1:47...
She knew she needed a savior, otherwise she wouldn't have said it.
So this blows the Catholic thinking down.
By the way there was a cult of mother son worship in Egypt.
People are willing to worship the created rather than the creator.
It has been this way ever since the begining.
It will continue till the end.

You're misinformed, the members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (or Mormons as some still refer to them as) don't think Joseph Smith will save them, he's not the one they worship. Jesus Christ is the one who will save us because of the Atonement, he's our Savior! He's the one who will help us to return to live with our Heavenly Father. Joseph Smith was just a way or a means in bringing the restored Gospel to this earth. If you want to know more about Christ, pray and read the Book of Mormon, and the New Testament (King James Version).

The Catholics believe that they are successers of St. Peter , No they are not Peter was a married man, & Peter Baptized people in the name of The Lord Jesus Christ as did ALL the Apostles of Old. The Mormans could not get their eyes beyond Joeseph Smith & look to God.

I think you're putting words in people's mouths. I've never heard a Catholic say that Mary would save them, nor a Mormon refer that way to Joseph Smith. Be careful about spreading rumors.

Some people are also saying that totalitarian Christians want to put homosexuals in jail or kill them. Oh wait.....THEY DO!

Um, don't know about catholics...but Mormons don't believe Joseph will save us. We know that it is through Christ only that we can attain salvation, NO OTHER WAY. Whatever anyone else tells you or you hear is wrong. We don't believe Joseph Smith is God or that he is responsible for our salvation. We love him for the sacrifices he made on our behalf and we know that he was anointed of the Lord to restore the fullness of the gospel to the earth.
But we know Christ is the only way to the Celestial Kingdom.

This also confuses me but I think that they believe that Mary intercedes on their behalf. As far as Joseph Smith, I think they consider him a prophet right? Nevertheless Christ is the only way to salvation!

When Jesus said what he said , "by me", he meant by what he taught, his message, not his physical sence.
Its been taught that way to promote his physical presence.
He is important to me by the message he brought and the power behind the message that changes lives. The only way to the Father is via the ways of Christ, via the ways of Christ, is, what he taught. This same message can be taught by any one who found the ways of Christ in action and heart.
Anyone that came before or after him usually had there own personal agendas wich diluted the message. His teachings are a part of all. If we can get intouch with the spiritual(fearless self) and disregaurd the flesh (fearful self) maybe we can see the message in clarity!
Love and Respect!

You are right, no one can go to the Father except through Jesus. Mary is not a mediator for our prayers, and is in heaven now, as the 1st resurrection has recently begun. She did put faith in Jesus, I am sure she was chosen as Jehovah's slave girl because Jehovah could see she was a faithful servant, and no doubt she never forgot how she got pregnant for Jesus.

Praise Jah! Hail earth's new King..Jesus our Lord!! Welcome Queen of the Heavens!!

"no man comes to the father but by me." Many people are wrong in their beliefs that this means we have to go through Jesus to get to God. What it really means is that no one will get to God except by following the words of God not the man. Granted Jesus is the living word of God but lets not confuse following a man with the word of God. I don't believe that you should give your faith to anyone but God himself/herself(What ever you choose). To pray to Mary for salvation or to any of the other apostles or angels or well wishers of God is just wrong. It takes away from God and as you might know already it says that God is a jealous God and there shall be no others before him no matter how well your intentions might be. Don't be FOOLED Pray only to God! P.S. If anyone out there is holding a cross or kneeling before one in church i believe this is idol worship. I know that you use it to remember how Jesus died for you. Instead why don't you spend your time reflecting on how God sent Jesus here to save you. If you have to remind yourself constantly with objects then you are in a bad boat. God and only God. Thanks

I fully agree with you on this, I don't understand how a catholic can actually pray to mary. Catholics don't even seem really "catholic" (universal). One catholic that my friend knows said that she doesn't pray to Jesus at all but prays to mary, while that seems wierd, even for a catholic. And mormons just seem messed up to me, They believe God has parents and someday we will be like gods. All because one man said that God said so.
