Actually that is not true what some people have said. Everything in physical reality has it's own form of consciousness, in the sense that they give and take information to a certain degree. They are however not aware of their own exsistance in the individual mind sense as humans are. Are they part of a bigger awarness that is whole and united however, is impossible to tell from any scientific method. I know in the Old Testament their is a verse where one of the Prophets says 'God enlivens the entire world' so perhaps that has some meaning here.

well...scientifically i would say that they're not, but no, not that i know of is there anything stating in the Bible that they are or are not conscious. But they are just made up of (some rocks) sand, dirt, and other such materials that have been around since the beginning of time...so unless there was some living organism that was put in the middle while a rock was being formed...i would go with they are not consious.

I don't know if you've ever heard of Kirlian photography, which can photograph the aura, but a college professor once invented a video version of Kirlian photography and was able to tell by their auras when students were going to get sick. One day a student was wearing a quartz crystal necklace. While she stood there they saw a whisp of white energy emanating from the quartz. When she moved or tried to touch it, it retracted back into the encasement of the quartz. If that response of pulling away doesn't imply consciousness of some kind, I'm not sure what does!
I believe that all stones contain this consciousness and are actually beings!
For this reason, and personal experience, I believe that plants (whose auras can also be photographed), and minerals all have souls and reincarnate -- although minerals have a nearly indefinetly life span so I wonder about them reincarnating simply because of their life span!
Here are some Kirlian photos you can view online of quartz crystals. These prove that stones DO emit energy and vibrations (technically everything in the universe is vibrating energy when you take it down to its absolute lowest level, so of course it vibrates!) and these photos prove it!:

In a manner of speaking, yes. Everything physical is concentrated thought. Mind is everything...God is mind; we are God's Beloved Child; we are mind.
I do not know if the Bible speaks specifically of rocks being conscious, but this collection of books (the Bible), comes together to tell the story of mind.

Rocks are as sentient as the ones that were sold as pet rocks about 35 years ago.

There woulddn't be any biblical evidence either way, but people were stoned, and it would be mean to throw consious being at people.

Sure they are. Why don't you get off the computer, go out in the back yard and find one to have a conversation with.
