I would not recommend going blonde, to do that you have to bleach your hair, that is the worst thing you can ever do to your hair! It will make it all brittle and fried, then you have to wait for it to grow back out to get your lovely shiney brown hair back!

I say brunette, only because a) it's possible your complexion coloring won't "go" with blonde (speaking from experience, sadly) and b) dark hair is very hard to lighten.
If you want to go lighter, I'd go the Jessica Alba route and stick with honey shades, or caramel shades.

it might be fun to dye it blonde, but the upkeep would be a pain in the ***.
But remember it's just hair.....you can cut it or dye it and it'll still grow out. If you hate it blonde dye it back.....don't go crazy with red, that never comes out!

If you're afraid of going to a completely different shade, try some highlights first. Just ask the hairdresser to do them chunky but DO NOT do straight lines because they tend to look skunk like.

No.Personaly,I think all people should leave their hair the way it is when they're born.If you really want to try something new, get some temporary hair dye and see how you like it.
