exercise is good for all dogs at any age. If he's new to it take it slow. if he's used to it, just continue with your regular routine, if the dog starts to show signes of exhausten earlier then normal, just cut back. Pay attention to your dog's reactions and you will know how much your dog can handle.

Yes, your dog can still exercise everyday. Keep a close eye on your dog's body language though. You know your dog best, your know your dog's problems so take that into account. Make sure that there is water accessible. Have your dog lead the exercise routine and don't force him to run or do anything else unless your dog initiates it.

Exercise is absolutely necessary for an aging dog to help keep them healthier. You do need to slow down a bit though, maybe make the walks a bit shorter. Just watch your dog for signs of being too tired - they often don't know when they should quit so you have to be the one to see the signs.

It depends on the breed. Larger dogs live shorter lives than smaller dogs. As such, larger dogs also have more bone and joint problems at that age. If it's a large dog, take it easy.... Walk... don't run... Don't let it jump from high places. My 12 year old Rottweiler ruptured it's diaphragm jumping out of my truck. She died during the operation to fix it :(

Yes I think brisk walks and some ball chasing is good for older dogs but just don't over do it or have it in hot weather for a long time. Dogs are pretty good about letting you know when they've had enough.

I think that your dog is 11 years old because you do exercise it. If he isn't suffering from arthritis and it isn't painful for him, I think that he will continue to enjoy your walks

Well, yes, IF there isn't a reason not to do so...severe arthritis, illness, etc. If your vet says it is okay and your dog does't have any physical limitations, it is probably the best thing for him/her. Do so at his/her pace...they do slow down with age (just like us :-)
