From the mind..

2006-09-02 04:53:19 · answer #1 · answered by Redeemed 4 · 1 0

It begins in the mind, the desire for something that is not yours to have, then the heart, the emotional attachment to that object or person, then carried out in action, whether through adultery or theft. Lust can be seen as coveting something or someone. Other sins can be connected to lust, envy, jealousy, pride, etc..

It is the sin nature of mankind, lust is the desire of the flesh for pleasure that is forbidden. Lust isn't just about sex either, greed is the lust of accumulating wealth, lusting comes in many forms. But all of it originates from the fallen nature of man.

In James NT. We read how it's not God who tempts us into sin but desire and when desire is given full growth it turns to temptation and when that grows it turns into even deeper desire. Eventually the person gives in and sins. Sin is a result of mans fall years ago and it's recycled believe it or not Jesus faced the same temptations from satan to sin as well all do and did before Christ walked this earth. How do we over come them? In Jesus name by the Power of the HOLY SPIRIT OF GOD we bind it and cast out any vain immaginations that set themselves up against Power and the knowledge of God in us. Basically you refuse to sin and resist the devil and he must he has to flee. As a man thinks in his heart so he is so to me sin originates in the mind and in the heart it comes from the flesh.

The mind. It's a chemical process like everything else you do. You must have lust in order to reproduce. Evolution has set it up this way.

You cannot tell where it originates from I think it's human. When you feel attractive to a certain type of person it's your hormones as well as chemicals that your body releases. it's probebly one's hair, eyes, face shape, body shape that atrracts one to the physical aspects of a person, man or woman.
