I just found places where you can get tutoring for free:

The Discovery Channel offers Cosmeo.com, while AOL has StudyBuddy.com. Then there is HomeworkSpot.com along with Ask for Kids (www.askforkids.com). Also, NationalGeographic.com/homework, SparkNotes.com, FigureThis.org and Tutor.com and Brainfuse.com

Hope this helps

I don't know about the US, but you can get a private tutor in a subject like maths for about £25 - £30 per hour. As part of a small group is more something that you will find in a private college, and you normally pay for the whole course. In the UK, for example, a 4 week intensive maths course might cost around £500 - £1000.

What works best really depends on your child. Some children will work best as part of a group, others on their own with just a mentor. Maybe give it a trial run with a tutor and see if it helps them.

The charge for tutoring can vary a lot depending on the tutors qualifications.

there are some sites which are free but they have certain limitations.like they will teach you similar questions but not the question asked by you. and you won't get one to one attention.
charges for tutoring are around $40 per hour. but you can decrease the cost by opting on line tutoring that will cost $20 per hour(for long term it can be less)

It between 35.00 and 50.00 per hour. Normally done individually.
However a group rate may be applied by some tutors.

They charge nothing, zero, nada, if you would just send your kid to school, like you should! And that is what works best! Teachers know SO MUCH MORE about kids than you will ever know, because they have much training, and especially EXPERIENCE dealing with literally thousands of students! Leave it to the pro's. They know what they're doing.

what subject ... what discipline... what age ... and how convenient is the arrangement.. (there are more )

all of these factors go into what I would charge for my service...

I work for an agency who charges a lot more than I do... but they have rent & utilities to pay other than my salary....
