If I were Christian... which I am not.. I would be disheartened by your spelling.
Please note how everyone spells Christian below and review how you spelt it. I may not have noticed it, but you put it in all caps for some reason. I'm pretty sure you put it in all caps because you are stupid.
I mean pretty sure. You could be smart, blessed by God, and all these other things.... or you could misspell Christian several times because somewhere in all that bible class and all that Church you attened as a devout Christian, you must have failed to see how Christian was properly spelled.

I like to share that feeling with fellow Christians too, and some things really are offensive. But even though we may disagree with some of the things being said, that is the price we pay for living in a country where we have the right to pursue our own beliefs, or in some cases nonbeliefs. We can't have one without the other. So I welcome the chance to share what I believe with others on this site. If someone doesn't like what I have to say, they can ignore it, or disagree with me (hopefully in a respectful manner as I try to be with them), but they have a right to express their opinion the same as we do.

It is disheartening at times. I have decided to respond to those individuals who seem to hate Christ and Christians, with love and compassion. I share the Word of the Lord with others in a manner I believe would be pleasing to God. I do not use scare tactics or threaten anyone with hell. Jesus found followers with love, respect, and knowledge. Hang in there. God loves us all.

Don't be disheartened. Any time you are in a public forum, and you are Christian, you have to expect to be attacked. Just look at what the Apostles went through.
If you look at it from the perception of being able to refute the lies and to share and spread the word then you will have a lot different outlook!
Hope that helps.
God Bless

Dishearten?? Why? when your following Jesus He says people are going to laugh and make fun of us. That's the easy part. You know your on the right course! And Your not being fed to lions like Christan's of Old. Although in the end many of us will have our head cut off for our beliefs. And what Religious group has been cutting peoples heads off?

Well firstly...not everyone in the world is Christian (you should know this by now.)
Secondly we have something called free speech here online. Maybe we dont like what other people are saying (nobody can be pleased 100% of the time)...but you can choose to either just sit there and take the insults or you can choose to respond to them in an intelligent manner (or the reverse of intelligent, whichever you choose).
It maybe unfair...but just think of what horrors there would be if Yahoo or any other site were to be hijacked and policed (like the Chinese Yahoo!)...

I am glad you are a Christian but, God does not need you to defend Him. He wants you to love other people for him.
You can choose to run away from this site and some of the people who use it or you can choose to get in here and have some loving honest discussions.
Sure, many of the people on the site are just goofing around and showing their ignorance. But, what about the few honest souls who are here in search of answers.
Your answer just might be the one that helps a person.
Your answer just might be the one that helps transform culture.
Don't run from our culture; start choosing to transform it.

This isn't a Christian site. It's for discussion and debate and a chance to hear about things you wouldn't normally encounter in the rest of your life. I've learned a lot, especially from people from other countries. And I've gotten a real education in how bigoted people can be in Jesus' name.
So when you read something you don't like about Christians/ity, remember that it is probably in response, directly or indirectly, to a question from a CHRISTIAN that is SHOUTING at us about how we are all SINNERS and going to BURN in HELL if the good CHRISTIANS don't prove their LOVE for us by HATING OUR SINS and PRAYING FOR OUR SOULS TO BE SAVED.
If you can't cope with it, find another site.

This is Religion & Spirituality, which means discussions of all manner of religions and spirituality.
There is no section entitled Christianity.
To answer your question, no, I am not disheartened at all. To become disheartened about Christ when listening to others who reject his gift of salvation is to believe that people who reject Christ mean something bigger than Christ. They don't.
While you may not be able to bear Christ being made fun of, Christ can--and did--bear it. Look to him.
Also, it is really not a good idea to apologize to God on behalf of others. Only one has the power to pay others' debt to God.

Does it really surprise you that there is so much hate against Christians here? It doesn't me. After all, this is the "Religion and Spirituality" section. The ugliness I see the majority of the time comes from those who call themselves "atheists". But, that's okay. They are free to say what they think. They show their true colors. They only come here to insult Christians. I think it makes them feel intellectual to bash us and God, when it actually shows their lack of intelligence and their intolerance, all the things they accuse us of. I feel sorry for them.
