You all know Joyce Meyer, the multimillionaire televangelist. When it comes to money she preaches one thing-AND LIVES THE TOTAL OPPOSITE!

Wouldn't be nice to own 5 mansions? A 500K vacation home? 100K cars? A 10 million dollar plane? ALL PAID FOR NOT BY HER, BUT BY HER MINISTRY!!

And that's not all. If you become Joyce Meyer, you sell books at Wal-Mart were the poor shop, but not if your Joyce! Her clothes are all hand made! You get armed security guards, a 105K boat, $30,000 tables, $ 19,000 vases...well you get the picture.

the bible says Matt 6:19-21, "Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth....." and we are to be bondservants of Christ.

If you don't like this question-which is pure fact-then start looking on the net. This is from her local newspaper newspaper the very reputable St.Louis Post-Dispatch.

I forgot to add the part about her ministry fighting the county over property taxes for her and her family's mansion. They claim it is a "church". Shame. There is no church there.

Let me guess...all her followers are rich folk...nope, I thought so.

A huge majority of televangelists (maybe even all of 'em) have so lost sight of Christ and his teachings that all they care about now is $$$$...thank God I do not follow any of them.

Dude. Happily, I don't know who this person is, but I'm glad you passed on the information. As someone I hope God thinks of as a Christian, I grieve over the material excess of His most apparently visible advocates. The older I get, though, the more I seem to really like the Reverend Jerry Falwell. He seems to be just what he says: an old time baptist preacher, moderately comfortable with a middle class life, always ready with an answer from The Gospel. If he's legit, I hope he is the one called on to pass judgement on these other frauds.

Thanks for the info ... do you have any on Falwell?

I don't agree with such wealth either, but, the board of trustees are the ones who give her such a salary and her books are not controled by those trustees, so she gets the royalties from them also. Personally, I think such money is better spent feeding the poor. Whats wrong with just having a decent home to live in and a dependable car, flying coach. But, thats just me.

Joyce Meyer, Benny Hinn, Pat Robertson....all of them are great businesspeople who have honed their talents in Dynamic Speaking 101.

My sadness goes out to those who fall for their fear-based tactics of promising hell to those who don't fork out 10% of their hard-earned money to the 'ministry', believe everything they say without question and continue to purchase books and tapes of said ministry.

These people take your money and promise you a seat in heaven, but they don't offer refunds....and the goods aren't delivered until you die.

Great business!!!

Joyce Meyer is not the only religious fraud. Look at BENNY HINN... This man will burn in hell for his hypocracy. Driving around in a Hummer whilst living in a $6,000,000 mansion outside of Los Angeles. SHAME ON THESE PEOPLE!.

you no what mate, this is why some don't beleive in god, because of people like her, who r just in it for the money, but im sure that her day will come soon anyway, in the mean time, she is still getting man an women to follow god, so that has to count for something right,as for her houses and crap, well that makes me sick, and its also proof that she's only in it 4 the money

Who are we to judge? Answer that. If God is the JUDGE and He is why are you making such assertions towards Joyce, Benny, the Crouch family and TBN etc.? If they be for us they're not against us. Yes I agree some of them take it too far when it comes to wealth and fame. But look at the spirit of it they're spreading the gospel and salvation to millions. What are u doing besides pointing the finger at them? When was the last time you witnessed to some one or lead them to Christ? Who are you to judge? Ouch stepped on my own feet there.

I question your Christianity if you have a problem with any ones life style but your own. 'Question' Since it's God she has to answer to, is it your place to judge any human, or be concerned about their material possessions????

Indeed, more law law isn't the solution, rather the problem.

The "grace" of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.
