I wanted to know if Midwest Airlines was going to upgrade their fleet like maybe adding a 737-800 or some other aircraft or if they are planning to phase out their MD-80 series aircraft. Which I hope they don't get rid of their MD-80 signature service jets.

I can so answer this question. I work for Midwests connection service...Midwest Connect, also known as Skyway.

Midwest Airlines currently flies Boeing 717 and the MD-80 aircraft. I havent heard anything on an upgrade. Actually they just cut down on a few of their flight destinations but also added some last July (ex. Milwaukee to Houston)
Not all of the aircraft are "signature service" but they are being converted.

Midwest Connect on the other hand added 4 new jets to their fleet. They use a Fairchild 328 Jet as well as a Beech Turboprop. They added 4 328's.

usually we hear in advance of any changes but non thus far.

Hope this helps

the real reason is with the aid of the fact they have outsourced their jobs, pilots and planes to Republic airways. basically approximately 80 pilots ultimate are employed with the help of Midwest. The wages paid to the Republic pilots and the airplane they fly value Midwest administration much less.
