A person can become Jewish with a full conversion to the faith.
I think that what you're referencing is a tradition of Judaism being carried through lineage on the mother's side. Put simply, it made sense because you just don't know whose child a woman is having, but you know it's always hers.

Mark Twain a known agnostic puts it best about the Jews :
The Egyptian, the Babylonian, and the Persian rose, filled the planet with sound and splendor, then . . . passed away. The Greek and the Roman followed. The Jew saw them all, beat them all, and is now what he always was, exhibiting no decadence, no infirmities of age, no weakening of his parts. … All things are mortal but the Jew; all other forces pass, but he remains. What is the secret of his immortality?
I put Muslims and Christians in the same category as Greeks and Romans.
2. "A person Can only Become a Jew By Birth." Not true, anybody can convert to become a Jew!!!

First of all, thank you for the thorough description before the question. Clearly, you know what you're talking about. However, people can convert to Judaism. Conversion requires lots of studying, but it does happen.
As for the question, though Judaism says that polytheistic worship is among the worst sins, I would prefer that all religions survive. I don't agree with Hindus beliefs, but I agree that they have a right to have these beliefs. Besides, what if monotheism turns out to be wrong?

I seek to share with you that Judaism has always recognized Conversion. One may even Convert to Orhthodox Judaism with adequade study and commitment to The Covenant. Most Jews, I would hope, would make a point to be extraordinarily neutral, and would therefore have No Preference of what the World does or doesn't convert to.
You seem to be asking me, personally, if I prefer the World convert to either Christianity or Islam or any other Monotheism form of Religion. I have no preference. I just want individuals to follow their inner spritual beliefs, unless they involve violating the Golden Rule. As to my preference whether Hinduism, Zoroastrianism and other religions survive, YES, I would hope they do survive.
Judaism, unlike Christianity, has never claimed to be the world's only True Religion. Christians claim all religions except theirs are false, wrong, incorrect, un-true, and tragically "missing Slavation, Eternal Life, and entry into the Kingdom of Heaven". Even knowing this, I would still prefer Christianity survive, because above all, it teaches the Golden Rule: "Love thy Neighbor as Thyself". (Note: the Old-Testsament version is simply "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.")

first and foremost as people have stated a person can convert and become a Jew.
as for what religion should the world adopt. I am not here to tell anyone what religion they should adhere to but I will tell you the ideal in Jewish law.
Christianity is automatically out because it has the questionable status of Idolatry (the trinity) Islam is good but in practice it has shown that it is willing to cause violence to gain adherents.
the ideal would be a monotheistic religion that follows the seven noahide laws and dose not force/manipulate Jews and others to be part of its group.

probably not the answer you were looking for, but......
since hitler especially, but also before him, antisemites have considered one to be jewish if one was born of a jewish family. so, i assume that identity today, because i could be killed for having a jewish mother. i am in no way of that religion, other than honoring the path they laid for most modern monotheists.
as far as you question, one can in fact convert to judaism, just as sammy davis JR. did. it isn't common and certainly the jews do not seek coverts, but still.....
and, to clarify you understanding of hinduism, the many gods they worship are merely facets of the one supreme being, which they all understand to be one god. i learned this from having many hindu friends during my lengthy stay in nepal, which was the only hindu kingdom on eartth at that time.
as a jew, what i would most like to see is for mankind to return to a universally understood morality that is present in all religions and which i don't need to explain. we all know it. it's all the same.

You attempt to display much learning and wisdom, yet you do not know the basics. Islam pledges to supplant Christianity and Judaism as the one true way to worship the God Jehovah change His Name now Allah. Converting the world to Islam would mean the eradication of all Jews.
However, if you know Romans, you know that converting the world to Christianity would preserve any and all Jews.
You need to research your subjects more before asking such apparently lofty questions.
