I have been having bad continuous ear infections for the past two and a half years. I keep telling my doctors to put tubes in my ear but they don't want to do it because for an adult it is not one of the main things they want to do. What can I do to help my ears from getting infected again??? I am getting sick and tired of constantly having an ear infection and being on anit-biotics!!

Instead of going to your regular doctor ask to be referred to an ENT (ear, nose and throat)doctor. He/she will be more likely to be aggressive in treatment as well as had more experience dealing with this problem in adults.
Do you know what is causing the infection? If it is sinus drainage ... treat your sinus allergies and if it is water getting trapped behind the ear drums try ear plugs when showering/swimming.

Try an other Dr.,maybe you need to see a specialist ? If the problem keeps coming back you can lose part of your hearing, and you don't want that to happen. It could be that you need to be on low-dose anti-bio tics all of the time or you need to look at your immune system as a whole.
