You should try using a garlic supplement such as Kyolic, it is a natural antibiotic and should help your running nose. Also take more vitamin C as it will boost your immune system. Allergies and body aches are most likely because your immune system has been compromised and needs strengthening.

Something in your house can be causing that. Mold is the number one culprit, mold and mildew. Dust is second. The environment you live in too. If you have pets, cats and dogs, the oils on their furs. Seasonal, trees, grass, ragweed, etc.
Your body goes into attack mode and produces HISTAMINES to fight off these (harmless but the body does not know that) invaders...you need antihistamines to calm the histamines down and relieve the symptoms.
For Rhinitis you should get a prescribed nasal spray but try this at home (don't buy the store saline too much preservatives) but make your own saline. 1 tspn water per litre (or quart) of water. Keep it handy and 3 times a day wash your hands clean, pour some into your hand and inhale it into your sinuses, careful not to inhale and swallow it although it's harmless it won't taste good. This will reduce the swelling of the tissues. Do it 3 times a day for 3 days then once daily and see if it helps.

Prevention is the best home remedy--We got rid of all of the carpet (go wood and tile or for $$ sake go linoleum) and get rid of extra decorative pillows and stuffed animals in the house. No pets on the bedding or couches. Try to go to Leather seating in the living room if possible (instead of cloth) Launder your bedding often and put protective covering over your bed time pillow.
Make sure there is no mildew or mold in your house. You can be the best house cleaner in the world and still have some. Check the whole house.
Take Claritin D every day (not just when you are feeling allergy-ish...cause then it is too late.)
Hire the neighbor girl to do the dusting and go grocery shopping.
Visine-Allergy is great.
It will still happen a couple of times a year. But this really has worked for our family.

My husband has had some relief from his seasonal rhinitis by using only local raw, pure honey in his coffee or tea.
He finds that the pollen in the honey is a good
homeopathic remedy. Make sure it from bees that live as close to you as possible.
I find that cleaning my sinuses with saline solution keeps the mucous clear. Keeping your hands off of your eyes and nose will also help. Wash your hands when ever you think of it.

I have found that benadryl is the only thing that will help mine. Every morning is the worst. Ive tried all the prescriptions for allergies, none work like the benadryl.
As for col/flu....I have recently learned that Oregano Oil is a germ killer and other infectious things. You can get it online, and maybe thru GNC.
