I don't believe this But I think the stereotype/joke is actually that Brits have really crooked, bad teeth not that they have no teeth and I am not sure where that started.

lol, well I dont. I know everyone use to have yellow or no teeth in the past but I dont believe that is really the case anywhere now.
And I think more people would think yellow teeth then no teeth and thats just because its in some movies.

I didn't know that ALL Americans thought that. Did you ask every single one? You must have been busy.

Anyway, Americans tend to believe that the British have bad teeth, not no teeth. Watch Austin Powers to see that stereotype in action.

I've never heard that anywhere. Did you get that from a comedy film or something? Speaking for myself, I LOVE the British people. You're very polite, well-mannered and friendly people, with a great sense of humor! Hugh Grant has fantastic teeth! I don't know where you get your ideas from, my friend.

What? I think what you mean is that we think we tend to have better teeth. I think this goes back to the fact that more of us probably go to dentist and have better dentist in the united states

not no teeth --just less on the priority list due to the cost of dental work in WWII and a trend that seems to have continued (no offense intended whatsoever.).

I'm Canadian, not American, but as far as I'm concerned, most British have pertuding teeth or "buck" teeth.
