Yes, why?

To begin with mouthwashes and some breathmints contain alcohol to give it a cool "fresh" taste. Big Red gum does not contain any alcohol straight out. However it does contain something called mannitol.

Big Red ingrediants:
Sugar, gum base, corn syrup, natural and artificial flavors, softeners, acesulfame K, mannitol, Red 40 Lake, BHT (to maintain freshness), Blue 1 Lake


Chemically, mannitol is an alcohol and a sugar and has a negative heat of solution, thus it is used as a sweetener in "breath-freshening" candies, the cooling effect adds to the fresh feel.

Although it would realistically only trigger the breathalizer for the first for seconds the gum was being chewed.

Sorry I live in England and have never heard of Big Red chewing gum.

yeh some toothpastes, mints, and mouthwashs will set it off
