I know it is a lie Satan started himself from the pits of hell but why is that lie so popular among non-christians anyway?

Its the doctrine that the majority rely on.
Have any humans ever gotten any of history right. If we are to believe what ever is written we will loose the ability to distinguish truth from fiction, the ability to form an asumption based on facts.
We can look at life in general today and form some direct connections to history. Since there's nothing new under the sun. We know that the hearts of men are still the same, their desires wich are usually selfcentered, fuels their every desicions. I know that slavery was ordained by the church, and was justified by the bible, which was, after 400 years, abolished. So when the Bible states anything about heaven or hell, and the the requirements for getting there, by me its questioned.
As far as doing whats right, it benefits me on earth, keeps me from receiving certain repercussions of my actions, you know consequences. Its all about being able to live in harmony with each other so we might have the chance to experience heaven on earth. I believe when i do wrong I feel like hell on the inside, which enables me to keep hurting others, thus creating my own hell on earth.
I don't bargain with God for the chance to enter heaven with good behavior, God judges me by my heart. If I don't understand that being good benifits me and others, and i think its just a ticket to get into heaven its hard for me too connect it to something that I 'll do from my heart, wich I'll be eventually judge from.
Love and Respect!

You right but some Christians think that as well.
Luke 13:24, Strive to enter in at the strait gate;
for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in ,
and shall not be able. People think that if good person in the community, give to charity, you visit the sick or you give bum money you are surely suppose have a reserve seat in heaven. Christians get caught up on titles and think that what the do is benefiting God. All things christian or no christian these things will not get you in heaven. You should things for glory of God and not for pat on back (Christians). Only what you do for Christ will last.

I think chi chi needs some to be shown love. My opinion is that she is very miserable with her life so she keeps up a wall to block out pain and truth...like most non believers out here in the world...but I do believe that the enemy (satan)is the main contributor to that also. He is good at painting pretty pictures huh?

Here is my reply to chi chi: Are you that miserable with your life? Try a little compassion and I bet you would be a much happier and better human being ;)...not so much sarcasum.. Trust me ..I thought I was all that ..very beautiful and everyone was so pathetic to me that couldn't spell either (check out my pic on 360) ..and boy did I have a life changing experience....and just to let your sarcastic thought know as you read this..I lost something to me that meant the world...my 2 month old son ...that changed my attitude about life and people. I just hope it doesn't take something more drastic to help you see you are not better than anyone else in this world and that when you do stand before god is he going to see the good you did or really believed in him and showed his love through you towards others? think about it... I can understand if you write something back horrible..I was once miserable with my life too trying to be perfect when I am not..and soon as you find out you are not too you will be much more self content.

Someone who had a positive thought for ya!

I believe it takes more than good deeds.

Probably because it is a belief system that the world uses, "You get what you deserve."

As for Matt 16:27, Jesus has been given authority to judge all the world when He returns, both believers and non-believers. The only difference is that believers are not condemned. Believers' eternal salvation is secure, but will be judged by how they handled gifts, reponsibilities and opportunities.*

Good works by letting your left hand knows what you're right hand is doing. Not a chance. Politicians, gran standers, photo opportunists, anyone who like to be in the news with their good work. These people already have their rewards.

Good works where only the invisible God you're only eyewitness, yes, why not? Jesus taught us that.

Perhaps this so-called lie is based on Matthew 16:27. Read for yourself.

Some people refuse to believe in the idea that everyone who doesn't believe in Jesus, but does believe in God, burns in hell. I believe in God, I do good deeds, I think I have a good chance at getting into heaven...sorry.

For it is by grace we are saved and not of ourselves or good works lest any man should boast. What's that mean? Grace is a God given free gift that God gave us. We didn't earn it or do it for ourselves. We cannot save our selves when it comes to Salvation. Only Jesus could and did do that for us. Why are so many people on this I can get into Heaven on my own good works thing? It takes faith in God, believing and recieving Salvation, living for God, reading the Bible and living it, praying, and faith. Yes faith without works or good deeds is dead but it's not on good deeds alone we are saved. It is the gift of God for Salvation.

As far as salvation goes, that means there is only one way and no other:

Romans 10:9-13 (King James Version)

9That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

10For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

11For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

12For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.

13For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
