NO!!! Instead, do something nice for yourself. Go out with friends, spend time with family, read, relax, eat well and stay in touch with reality.

"Religion" does not necessarily mean God. There are godless religions so it depends on which religion you are talking about. The answer to your question then is maybe because there are those who do join a religion as an escape from a broken relationship. But then again there are other boys out there so it is up to you.

Religion is the ultimate con. It is government protected, tax free and the product they sell doesn't have to be delivered until you reach a place that doesn't exist. Little wonder so many people jump on this manured money wagon. I find it disturbing that because religionists can't face the fact they don't know something, they jump on the first manure wagon that passes by and call it "Truth". Don't be pathetic and adopt a make believe friend to get over some boy, it ain't worth it

It is the best way to start over and it does not take much you just need to pray. When you pray ask God to help you with your pain and heart break. When you pray be honest with yourself and tell God that you are not over this guy and you do not know when you will be. You pray this prayer everyday and God will move on your behalf. Get anchor in God and when the time comes he will send you the right guy.

I think God or a higher power is great.....religion...not so much.
I don't think you can just turn to God to help you over a boy, you need to embrace this as a life choice for the long haul, it' s not just a band aid until your boo boo is all gone.
Organized religion gives me the shivers but I am very spiritual. Good luck.

If that will bring healing to yourself then yes. But using boys, or religion, or buying stuff to fill holes in your life is sort of a sad way to live.
The key is to find a way to be joyful in yourself and then putting activities, relationships and other stuff on top. That way when something gets removed from your life you still have your fundamental worthiness.

Why do people wait for a crisis of some sort, and then suddenly decide that turning to God will help? It's like saying, "Who needs God, unless it's an emergency?" God should be part of your life in the same way your parents are. (or should be). Make God a part of your daily life, and find a boy friend who also has God in his daily life.
Go well, and God Bless!

While there's a lot more to religion than just the comfort it brings you, it certainly does help to bring perspective to the everyday challenges of life. Ever since becoming a more active Christian in my 30's (after years of not really believing much even though I had grown up in a Christian home) I definitely find that I don't "sweat the small stuff"....including relationships with guys....nearly as much, because I realize it's so insignificant in the greater scheme of things, and there are always lots of other people to love and who will love me.

I dont believe so. Turning to God over a boy, is just plain dumb. Move on and turn to another boy. Religions are all a waste of time.

Religion= the following of a doctrine of Rules created by man to support their beliefs in God.
Faith=the belief in things felt but not seen.
Turning to God is not only a good answer during hard times, but during every aspect of your life. Your relationship with the Lord will help you in the most troublesome times in your life, and will allow you to rejoice in the Lord during the good times. Seek this, though, through your own avenues. Remember that any preacher is going to give you HIS interpretation of the Bible. Read the Bible for yourself, and ask God to help you Understand it as He meant it, not as some hypocrite who only wishes to change things to support his personal lifestyle would have you believe.

Turning to God is a good way to change your life. You have to believe in the Lord whole heartily and accept the Word of the Lord. It will help you deal with many difficult situations.
