This worked for my dog: I put her in just one room and kept her there. Dogs will not go any where they sleep. Try putting her in the kitchen or some other room without carpeting. Don't put her doggie cage in there with her other wise she'll just go potty every where but there. I also bought alot of those baby gates to keep her where I could see what she was doing. If she does go on the floor rub her nose it it, telI her she's a baaaaad dog. When she goes outside make a big to do about it and give her a treat. I know it will break your heart to do it, but she'll get it.

My Cousin Has A Dog Named Dallas,
And When She Was A Puppy,
We Used To Keep Her In The Cage,
And Then Take Her Outside Every Fourty Minutes.
After About Two Or Three Weeks, She Got The Idea Of
Going Outside.
And We Also Bought These Collars For All The Dogs,
So When You Let Them Outside, There's Like
An Invisable Fence.
And It Shocks Them If They Go To Far.
So Then They Can't Run Away.
But I'm Getting Off Topic, Here. :]
So I Hope Your Puppy Gets The Idea He Must Go Potty
Outside Or On Newspapers. :]

You should never potty train on news paper to began with. Always start with taking your dog outside every couple of hours. If you start with news paper it confuses the dog. They think that it is o.k. to go potty in the house because that is what they have been taught. Keep the puppy out of the cage and just keep taking it outside every few hours. Praise the dog and give treat for going when taken out side.

The food you are feeding might be to laxative..Read the label, if it has beet pulp or corn, then switch foods..Feeding a premium kibble, such as Canidae, Innova, Wellness, Wysong, or Solid Gold, will give him the best nutrition, and firmer, less frequent stools... I feed Canidae, and am actually saving about 23% per month over Eukenuba..So, it is not costing as much as feeding a grocery store brand..The dogs and pups eat less, because they are getting the nutrients they need, and they poop way less...
Then, keep the puppy on a routine..feed 3 times per day, pick up his bowl, and take him outside about 10 minutes later, and walk him until he poops..... Always praise him for going outside, and never scold him for doing it inside..no matter where..
Your key to training him will be routine (same time every day) and feeding a kibble with no fillers..

Well, you are having trouble just like we were. This is what you need to do:
1)Everyday take your dog out once every hour and after he eats
2)if he dose have an accident show him what he did and then take him out
3)Buy something called puppy pads(use them like you would news paper)but only put them were he likes to go
4)when he goes outside reward him with a treat(make sure he knows why he is getting a treat)
Do these steps until he gets the hang of it.

Well first of all, you need to discipline him when he goes inside. But make sure you praise him when he goes outside. Try taking him out every two hours or right after he eats. Just stay outside with him and if you want, whenever he goes say " go potty " so when he gets older he'll associate to going when you say that. If he finds that he's doing the right think by going outside, soon he'll be scratching at the door to go out. Good Luck!

Dont worry they will soon get it. Maybe put newspaper by the back door or at the place were he goes regular and then gradually move it to the back door until its time to take it away take him out for walks or go outside as often as you can let him know he is good when he has gone outside and bad inside but never hit him just let him know he is bad by voice tone as dogs respond better to that then cats do

Try putting him on a leash and say to him..."gotta go potty?" "let's go potty" then take him outside and put him just one area of the yard for him to know this is where he is suppose to go potty. When you are outside keep telling him..."let's go potty" when he does go always tell him good boy. Keep doing this until he learns that going potty is in that one spot outside not in the house.

Your new puppy thinks that you are cute too, and he really wants to please you and to make you happy. But you are not getting his signals that he is telling you when he needs to poop or go out. He wishes that you would watch him closer. And to time him so that he can go out. He also wishes that you would put down more papers so that he can go on the papers. He hopes that you would pay more attention to him, he wouldn't have these accidents.
