then visit Monticello, http://www.monticello.org/
Mitchie Tavernhttp://ranger.befunk.com/pics/latest/Coast%20with%20Mom-Pages/Image198.html.the whole area is scenic even without the fall leaves.
Go to Williamsburg http://www.williamsburg.com/index.cfm

Go to Charlottesville! We stayed at a wonderful Inn called the Inn at the Crossroads last year in October. It has mountain views, hiking, waterfalls, the Blue Ridge Parkway. If the weather is bad you can go to Monticello or the UVa Art Museum. The downtown is really cute and they have free music on Friday nights. Big name bands too!

Well if you are in southeastern VA, I strongly suggest the Blue Ridge Trail. It is a rather long drive, but very scenic with plenty of places for picnics, hiking and spectacular viewing opportunities. Some of the most beautiful mountain landscapes in America are there. Also, if you are near the Lynchburg area, I suggest visiting the Natual Bridge in Big Island. Beautiful geological formations there. Enjoy!!

Williamsburg VA.
It's a great historical place about the colonial times.
Its so much fun!
Go 2 google and type in Williamsburg, VA and their website should come up.
The workers dress up as in colonial times, and talk like the colonial people did.
Its so much fun.
