Many atheists are not atheists because they are free-thinkers: they are just rebelling against their parents or their childhood religion. Same with many religious people: they change religion because they get to the age of reason (usually teens) and realize the religion now in their brain does not make sense. So rather than realizing it doesnt make sense because it is their childhood understanding of something greater, they dump it or change to another one. This is not free-thinking: this is tunnel-thinking. Even intellectual laziness, when instead of examing the missing and mis-understood pieces of a belief system, it just dumps it all because its easier than researching, studying, and thinking.
But just like some atheists are indeed free-thinkers, so are some religous people, who do not settle into a comforable, effortless belief system, but now have a process in place to challenge common beliefs, even their own currently accepted beliefs.
When this is the case, the pursuit of knowledge and discussion with others is no longer limited to ones which already confirm what you already believe. Sources of information which disagree with your standpoint are not then see as irrelevant or just 'funny'. The entire worlds religious writings, philosophies, histories, science: all of it can be challenging and interesting.

A good start would be to start seeing yourself as a person rather than a colour.
To address your suggestions;
Promoting your rap album might make you some cash, but it's not going to convert anyone. People have been singing anti-war songs for 40 years, but we keep making guns.
Jesus was middle-eastern, so he would have been dark, but not black.
I don't understand your third point.
Slave owners usually wanted to prevent their slaves becoming Christian, as religion would have given them a sense of hope, which would lead to more attempts at escaping.

I never understood why Blacks adopted the "Slaver's" god until I realized that Blacks are far more superstitious than the rest of Americans. Just look at whom all the psychic hot-lines were aimed at. As an Atheist, I have wondered why there are so few Black Atheists and how are we going to reach them to lead them from the dark side of religion. Good luck, you are taking on a difficult task.

Jesus wasn't really black so don't do #2. 3 and 4 are partially true, so you could try that. I don't think #1 would be very effective. What's the point? I'm an atheist, but I don't go around trying to rescue people from their delusions. It's only when they try to make me pray or something that I point out what a waste of time their hobby is.

Before you try to "convert" anybody, you need to ask yourself a few very basic questions -
What do you have to offer? That is, what Hope for this life and the life to come? What freedom from sin and selfishness do you have to offer? What means of reconciliation between man and God do you offer?
Jesus answered these questions very clearly and lovingly. And THAT is why so many people follow Him. Read the New Testament Scriptures to find out Jesus' answer to these questions and find out what HE has to offer before you try to compete with Him.

I actually think #1 is a good idea. Now, I don't normally listen to rap music, but one time I heard Sun vs. Moon by Sage Francis (it's about God and atheism) and I really liked it. It made me realise that rap isn't all about morons boasting of their "gangsta" credentials.

The point of being an Atheist is to be free of the societal contraints of what others think and and thinking for yourself. Why do you feel the need to have others join you?

The only thinking process a rap albums starts is 'why am I listening to this'?

Good luck. Some of the most devout Christians are black Baptists. I admire them for their faith while not shoving it down my throat.
