Cork and Kerry are nice any time of the year. There is a Jazz festival happening in Cork towards the end of October that tends to draw in big crowds. The scenery in West Cork and Kerry is beautiful, so if you want to chill out, these are good places to do just that.
It might also be advisable to spend some time in Dublin. October can be somewhat wet, so if staying indoors during the rain is your thing, there are no end to the things you can do in Dublin on a rainy day - a lot of great museums, art galleries, exhibitions, shops and pubs.
There are quite a lot of good hotels in Ireland, but you haven't indicated a price range. Bewleys run some nice hotels in the Dublin area, but most of the big names are there too - Hilton, Raddisson, Sheraton etc.

eire is amazingly extreme priced compared to Spain. there are various of wonderful motels, and today some fantastic bargains accessible. Irish everybody is mostly truly pleasant. As regards identifying on between eire and Spain, nicely, I stay in eire so i ought to guage Spain as a visit vacation spot besides. Spain is hotter, the nutrients is somewhat more effective unique, and there are astounding places to visit there too. Plus the wide-spread public delivery is more effective in cities (with underground practice structures). the shy away of Spain should be that shown reality that no longer many Spaniards are great at English - compared to their nearest neighbours the Portuguese - and that is somewhat complicated getting your message for the time of. yet in case you get on the right foot with them, they're only stunning, pleasant and hospitable. In eire the language is English, yet satirically the Irish inn marketplace now pretty employs non-Irish, because those are less extreme priced! so that you need to satisfy a Spanish human being in eire besides ....
