As a Jewish believer in Jesus as the Messiah of God to Israel, I can tell you that many people really DO put Jews on a pedestal - especially if the Jew is also a believer in Jesus.

But we Jews are just the same as anybody else, except that God entrusted us with His Word. Does that make us special? Maybe, but we're still sinners in need of salvation. So, does that take us off the pedestal? I hope so. Pedestals are easy to fall off of!

I have seen christians go both ways. I have seen christians hate jews because they believe that they killed jesus and I have seen christians revere jews because jesus was jewish and they feel judaism is the ancestor of christianity.

I have also met christians who actually seem a bit afraid of jews - and normally vocal christians will often clam up around jews or defer to their opinion. This last group seems to say jews have to do so much reading and education that they know the christian bible better than the christians. I think this group has been bested more than once in a theological discussion, don't you?

Peace!

Because the Jews are God's chosen people and Jesus was a Jewish Rabbi. Jesus has nothing to do with Christians, the main difference being that Jesus taught the Golden Rule, which Christians ignore.

If you love God how could you not honor God's Chosen? Plus our Savoir was a Jew born and raised by loving Hebrew parents and followed by Jewish Apostles. Those Apostles were the founders of our Faith.

Jesus was a Jew and is the fulfillment of the prophecies of Old Testament times. He is the begining of the New Covenant with God. Through Jesus we have been saved from death (spiritual death--the consequence of the fall). We are now able to join God in heaven if we spend our lives loving Him and living His example.

The Jew Jesus Christ is the Lion of Judah. He has been given a name above all others. God has highly exalted Him. At the name of Jesus every knee will bow, every tongue confess Jesus Christ is LORD.

Yahweh Messiah is Yahweh.

He restores all things & makes all things new.

The Jews are a chosen group, but Jesus made us joint heirs to the throne with Him.
