The Bible is honest in it's historical account of events. It does not gloss over the sins of people, either individually or nationally.
For instance, the David, the king of Israel committed adultery and murder. That's violent, to be sure, and the Bible accurately reports this event. But it also shows David repenting and the judgement God brought to David because of his sin with Bathsheba.
So, the Bible shows us the truth about human nature, but it also gives the solution to overcome these problems through faith in God through faith in His Son, Jesus

THE BIBLE IS THE ANSWER OF MANY MISERABLE LIVES OUT THERE IT DOES'NT FORCE YOU TO DO ANYTHING YOUR HEART DOES'NT WANT TO DO.
