my question is simple i want to open a avi file with index by using Mplayer. I know i have to use it with command.exe
can anyone tell me how to activate index.
generally index is automnatically activated but here problem is i am opening half downloaded file so that is the reason index is not active....
some one kindly tell me how to activate index for Mplayer

You can use AVI Preview to watch what you've already got from an AVI movie that hasn't finished downloading:

Download the full file ofcourse. Opening a half downloaded file with components missing obviously won't work as it should.
