It is illegal in France to do the following on a train:
1. Bring your pet orca into the train to sit beside you. (Not sure if it's still illegal if the orca's in a pet carrier).
2. Shoot off fireworks from inside the train car.
3. Bring construction equipment and supplies on board and begin building your dream house on the train.
4. Bring tons and tons of poisonous snakes onto the train. And the primary reason for this being illegal is that the incident might spin off into a another plotless movie, this time: Snakes on Trains.
5. Drink battery acid. Primarily because of the mess you become. Difficult to clean up.

That's all I can think of for now. 'Course, I could be wrong. Maybe those things are legal. Don't really know much about France.

Illegal things to do in trains in France

For a train allowed to cycles, the restriction "dans la limite des places disponibles" ( if space permits ) does not apply to the absence of places specially designed for bikes, but to the fact that your bike may prevent other passengers from boarding. A restriction of the type "provided there are spaces for bikes in the train" is only legal if SNCF is able to tell you before you purchase your ticket wether the train will accept bikes or not. Otherwise, this restriction is not valid, according to general rules applying to the sale of transport services.

Spit. 'Defense De Cracher'. Also 'Ne Pas Se Pencher Au Dehors'... Don't lean out of the window.. although that is more common-sense than law.
