Hey,

I've read most of what was already said, so I'll try not to repeat anything.

Firstly, if you're trying to lose weight, obviously it's good to exercise and eat healthy and all that, but you can't just jump into it overnight.

The best way to start is with little steps. Do some things here and there to get yourself started. About your diet, don't go on these crazy diets. They might give you results but most of them aren't even that healthy. I don't even like the word diet because of this. You should eat healthy all the time. Try changing things you do little by little, so it's not as hard to keep up with it.

HERE'S WHAT YOU DO:
1. Don't overeat, but more importantly don't starve yourself.
You should watch what and how much you eat, not just one. For example, there's nothing wrong with eating Ice Cream or Cookies or Brownies, but you can't eat them everyday. Eat everything in moderation.

2. Try to get more exercise in.
Instead of starting out doing a half an hour's worth of exercise every other day (if you can, that's awesome, but it's really hard). What you can start with is walking a little bit more than you normally do. Say you go to the mall, park farther away from the doors than you normally would and that way you walk more. When you're at work try to walk around more (maybe on your break or lunch or just get up once in a while and take a short walk along the corridor, go to the water fountain, and come back to your desk). You can also have a small weight lift with you at your desk and lift weights while you're working. Or do calf lifts if your hands aren't free.

3. Eat healthier
Try to eat more oatmeal and wheat bread (make sure you're not allergic to anything before eating it). Again, don't cut out everything at once. That'll make it really hard to stick to it. You should drink more juices and vegetables. If you can, get a 100% juices and organic vegetables. They're more expensive but they're better for you. Also, when you go to the vending machine, get the honey and oats bars (from nature valley) rather than the snickers bar. As the vending machine guy if he'll put more healthier stuff in there.
And DON'T drink Soda. That stuff is really bad for you. (To give you an idea apparently you can use Coke to clean your toilet because it's really good at removing the stains.)
Drink more water too. Try to work up to 8 glasses a day. You will have to go to the bathroom a lot though.

4. Reduce Stress and try to get more Sleep

5. It helps if you hang out with people who eat more healthier than you cause then hopefully you'll start eating more like them. If you don't know anyone, you can always just try to eat healthier stuff that's on menus.

Once you get used to it, it'll be nothing. (Also, making things yourself can be a lot healthier too. Like making cookies yourself can be a lot healthier than buying premade cookies.)

Hope this helps. It's all I can think of right now (I can't post again, atleast not that I know of), so if you need more help or anything just e-mail me.

Good luck! I'm sure you'll do great. :)

actually there is no one size that fits all, most often it's a combination of exercise and the type of food u eat. The amount of exercise required, suitability, type of food, qty of each type of food, no. of meals a day, what type of food and qty in between meal is allowed etc. With a rigid exercise schedule and the right type and qty of food, one should lose weight very effectively. It's only up to the person whether one can really keep up with the planned to lose weight. The only difference is, u are suffering from sone kind of illnesses that no matter what u try, the weight won't go down, then u will need specialist treatment for it. Otherwise, fine tuning for each and every individual should work very well.

The most effective & Healthy is a combination of watching your caloric intake & exercise.

Yes many of these other lose weight quick schemes will produce fast weight loss.....but they are not healthy & as soon as you go off these diets you will almost immediately start to put the weight back on.

Talk to your Doctor about seeing a nutrionist, join a gym and start to see long term sustainable weight loss.

Good luck!

Try this

The Best Exercises To Lose Weight

Exercise that pushes your heart rate closest to your targeted heart rate is the most suitable exercise to get rid of fat. You should exercise with sufficient intensity to raise your pulse rate, which in turn speeds up the fat loss process. The exercises that bring your heart rate close to your targeted heart rate will boost your metabolism, which will lead to fat loss.

Besides, making you look better, weight loss offers hosts of other health benefits. When you reduce 10-15% of your weight, your chances of suffering from heart attack, diabetes as well as cholesterol levels go down. Hence if you are thinking of getting started, the best time to get started is now.

Commitment is the most crucial factor to get any exercise program started. Do cardio exercises for 30-60 minutes at least 3-4 times per week. Regularly working out for a month will increase your energy levels, improve your mood and reduce your waist size. Commitment will also help you to choose the best exercise that will aid your fat loss.

Vary your exercise routine. This will make your workout exciting, thus increasing your motivation. Choose any exercise to burn fat. The most popular types of exercises are running, walking, hiking, playing basketball etc. But ensure that you do this chosen activity with enough intensity to raise your heart rate. You can also choose a combination of two or more activities.

For maximum fat loss, get a full body workout. This means adding a weight training session to your workout. Choose a combination or either walking, jogging or running and weight training to tighten the arms and shoulders to make it a total workout.

Select a few exercises you love and then alternate them to get a routine that will excite you. This ensures you will remain at it for a long time.

I think the best and most effective weight loss option is common sense and a sensible eating plan and exercise. There are no quick fixes, you didn't gain the weight overnight and you won't loss it overnight. cyf.lose20.com = you are looking for a long term solution with long term benefits, so don't get caught up in hype

exercise by far is the best
instead of starvation, I suggest having balanced meals
Balanced meals? how?
just eat a bread group, vegetable group, fruit group, meat group, and dairy group every time you have a meal. It'll give you all the nutrients.
No snacks
the fact is that people are genetically inclined towards a certain weight, and diet companies don't want you to know you shouldn't need them
