I want to be a surgeon when I get older, but I don't really know what it's like.I know it's most certainly not like Grey's Anatomy, but I wanted to know what I have to do, what I should, study, what college I should go to, where should I work, etc. Could anyone help me?

Ask your school if they can arrange an interview with a careers study officer, who might fix you up with an interview with a surgeon or junior doc

First and foremost, you must be kind of cool around blood. If blood freaks you out, look for another career. Then you must be cool around dead bodies- medical people call them cadavers. In the course of your training, you will get to see many kinds of them, different ages, shapes etc, . You will have to touch them and - wait for this, dissect them, meaning you will have to cut them up and stuff. IF you havent yet fainted just reading this, please go ahead with your quest!
