Well there is this ancient sort of myth from greek times that said there was a creature that was both man and woman. Something happened one day and they got seperated. So they were always on a quest to find each other. Hence soul mates. So men and women need and love each other because they are finding that missing piece of their souls. And aren't we all looking for somebody single and less drama filled.

For the same reason you love kittens and puppies; it's fun to watch us run around and make fools of ourselves, but we can fun to snuggle with sometimes.
