According to the Bible, living a good life is not enough to get you into Heaven. You must accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. If you reject Jesus as the son of God, you will spend eternity in Hell no matter how nice of a person you are. I know, it sounds harsh, but that's what the Bible teaches.

According to Christianity, the only way for you to get into heaven is if you accept Christ as God and believe that he died for your sins. If you read in the old testament, the jews used to sacrifice animals for the things they had done wrong (or sins). In the new testament Jesus is supposed to be the sacrifice once and for all for everybody's wrongs.
The bible says that your actions aren't what get you into heaven. That's not to put down anyone that does great things like Ghandi. It's more of a thing where you can't really earn your way into heaven. Like you can't say "I've donated a million dollars, so I've earned the right to get into heaven". Jesus, and all the other good things that come with Christianity are supposed to because of God's graciousness, not humankind's achievement.
I hope that clears it up a little bit. Let me know if you have any more questions.

Going to heaven or hell is not about being a good person....going to church every day .....donating money too good causes....or any other works of man..... First off heaven and hell are very real places.....they exist.
The only way too heaven is through Jesus Christ......except him as your lord and Savior....put your faith in him.....what ever you do in life do it for the glory of God....and you shall go too heaven....
Do not except Jesus as your lord and Savior and continue on with your life thinking you can get their by being good or doing good deeds etc ....and you have taken your first step down the road too hell....
So to your question about other religions and heaven and hell....yes if they have not accepted Jesus Christ as their lord and savior.... they too will be going to hell....
You haven't offended me ...people need too be told the truth about heaven and hell ....the people of the world are given free choice on what they do in this life..... it will however affect the road you go down.....

There are 4 hells. The First (if you can call them 1,2,3,4) is the Grave, but only your flesh body will see the Grave.
2 and 3
Ps 9
17 The wicked shall be turned into hell , and all the nations that forget God.
Mt 23
33 Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell ?
Rev 1
18 I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.
Lk 16
22 "The time came when the beggar died and the angels carried him to Abraham's side. The rich man also died and was buried. 23 In hell, where he was in torment, he looked up and saw Abraham far away, with Lazarus by his side. 24 So he called to him, 'Father Abraham, have pity on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in agony in this fire.'
25 "But Abraham replied, 'Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, while Lazarus received bad things, but now he is comforted here and you are in agony. 26 And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm has been fixed, so that those who want to go from here to you cannot, nor can anyone cross over from there to us.'
27 "He answered, 'Then I beg you, father, send Lazarus to my father's house, 28 for I have five brothers. Let him warn them, so that they will not also come to this place of torment.'
29 "Abraham replied, 'They have Moses and the Prophets; let them listen to them.'
30 "'No, father Abraham,' he said, 'but if someone from the dead goes to them, they will repent.'
31 "He said to him, 'If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead.'"
Luke explained:
To explain 22: The side of hell where Abraham was (Abraham was not perfect before the Lord and Christ who is speaking has not yet redeemed the world, so even Abraham is (was) in hell.
25 Great chasm between the two hells that can not be crossed!
31 What on earth could make a non-believe who is stead fast in their ways change?
After Christ's death and resurrection, the side that is called the lap of Abraham is empty! Call that 2nd hell
The 3rd hell is across the gulf, where the rich man is! It is still today.
But it is not judgement, it is not punishment per say.
During the rule of Christ that is to come (1,000 years) some if not all from this hell may (MAY) live again during this rule. There they shell have a chance to learn!
After the 1000 years of Christ, Those in Christ return to heaven with him and Satan is again released for a short time. (Everyone must be tested) this short time, will be Armageddon, (not much of a war).
Then Judgement, a lake of fire (4th hell) open up on earth, and the judged and found wanting will be thrown in to it and die!
Not all that are in hell now will die, they just might die!

The christian faith is built around the belief that you must be born again. You must come to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and except him as your Savior.
What hell is has been debated for centuries. Perhaps it is the absences of heaven. For our eternity would surely be hell without that.
Even for the christian belief we must remember that there were people on earth for many centuries before Jesus came to earth.
Many believed in God and there is no reason to believe they will not see the kingdom of heaven.
Other religions are, while in different form, just another form of belief in God. No reason that those that believe will not see the kingdom of heaven. But those who believe only in what they can see, feel or touch and that there is nothing beyond will be in the presence of hell(absence of heaven) for eternity.

"other people in all religions" stumps me, maybe you needed to be more specific. Most religions teach that you need to be baptized, reborn or saved thru some method. The bible states that you cannot enter the Kingdom of God unless you are baptized. The word "baptized" is the key word to enter heaven.

John 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
You asked this question of Christians... I'm certain people of other faiths will tell you otherwise.... but according to the Bible Jesus Christ gift of salvation is the only way to heaven. The Bible tells us that we cant earn our way to heaven by good works. Being a good person is not the key.... Jesus Christ is the key... I am not offended by your question... i hope your not offended by my answer because the only way i can answer that question from a Christian perspective is by what the word of God tells us. Without Jesus Christ the answer will be hell.

To my knowledge, there is only 1 other select group aside from Christians that do not go to hell... They are mentioned in Matthew 25:31-46 where Jesus says that if you've helped even the least of His brethren, you've done it to Him... Also, if you've neglected the least of His brethren, you've not done it to Him...
You can look it up yourself...
As for who IS going to hell, there's a list given by Jesus Himself in Revelation 21:8...

"For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; thy shalt love thy neighbour as thyself".
The good news: doesn't matter if you are Christian, Buddhist, Muslim, Jewish, etc. because as long as you love your neighbor as yourself, the lord will share with you eternal bliss.
The bad news: Not even the Christians who lecture everyone who doesn't share their believes, will go to heaven. They take such pleassure in the idea that non-believers will go to hell. They suffer with the thought that non-believers have a chance of the greatest reward, when, according to themselves, they haven't missed a single Sunday devoted to Church.
To all my fellow Christians... be selfless, or get ready for the everlasting lake of Fire.
